Rome55 was a wonderful experience. The staff was wonderful and very helpful to us in getting cabs when checking out. The only reason for a 4 was we would have liked the option of American coffee in the morning. However, the location was so good we did not have trouble finding coffee. I would definitely go back.

This place was right outside the Spanish steps, shopping and lots of food options. It’s very quiet. Bed was comfy. It was odd there was no wash clothes but that might be a thing in Italy! Who knows, we worked around it. Staff is SUPER NICE too. Highly suggest this hotel.

Lovely stay!
A family owned hotel run by a lovely lady. She was very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is located at the heart of one of Rome’s tourist attractions; piazza de spagna - a must for first time travellers to Rome. One of the best shopping areas for luxury shopping starts in the streets here. The size of the rooms were generous and beautifully decorated. One tiny little minus for the curtins that were not covering for the sunlight and the pillows were a bit hard. I would stay again.

Lovely Hosts
Roma 55 is very well situated right within 50m of Piazza Spagna. The hosts are very helpful & wanting their guests to enjoy their visit to Rome. On our checkout they went & flagged a taxi & helped us with our luggage as taxi's can't stop right in front of building so need to go to nearest corner ( 100m ) approx to get taxi. If you want extra luxury I can thoroughly recommend one of the 2 mini suites they have in a property just around the corner Called Piazza Spagna Just for us which have been recently refurbished & are very upmarket presentation.

This place was great! The location is right next to Spanish steps! Felt super safe, area is well lit at night! you need a code to get into the building then another code to get into the lobby of your hotel! Near all the shopping and restaurants! The train is about 10 minutes from there. The hotel owners are so sweet and caring! The room is updated and sooooooo clean! The bed is so comfortable I over slept and almost missed our train! Will be back there for sure!

Location, location, location!!! Outside the door are the Spanish Steps, high end shopping and exquisite restaurants. The room was modern and well appointed. Owners Natalie, Claudio and assistant Marie Claire were wonderful hosts who helped with everything from car logistics to tips about the best of the city. We will be returning to this place!

HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!!!
The location is windrfull' and that all!!!! we came to the hotel at 20:00 pm, thay told us that a key will be wait for us at the recaption, but no key was thier, we need to call ,and over the phone thay explain to us how to open the door. the room was small, not look as half as at the pictuers. we woke up at 7:00 am, not because we want to, becuse someone decided to start reparing and he was makeing a terrible noise. we didn't say anything. In the next morning its all start over again,terribe, terrible noise - this time we decided to complain. At the recpation thay said thay sorry about the noise and thay will give us a compensation of 140 ure, only if we will cancel the resrvation from hotel.com, we told them that we can't cancel the reservation, and thay made us write a letter to hotel.com, and said that thay will work it out with hotel.com. The next day, thay told us that hotel.com can't cancel the reservation, so we will not get the compensation thay offer us. we try to explain that the were very understunding about the noisr, and thay said that we were right to get a compensation, but if hotel. com didnt give them back the money we will not get anything. we pay full price for a horrible place with a owner that stand a lied to us, and everytime thay felt uncomfortable thay said thay dont speak english!!! The place is embarrassing!!!!!!!!

Hi Mr. Osnat, I am Natalia, owner, let's begin that you arrived on June 19th from Tel Aviv with flight LY 383 arriving at Fiumicino airport at 9.00 pm.with baggage claim and customs controls, including travel from airport to our hotel, you arrived at the hotel at midnight with our transfer service (the driver can confirm). I would like to remind you that, as clearly stated on the website, the reception schedule is from 8 am to 8 pm. Afterwards it is possible, according to the customer's choice, to check-in with the presence of the staff at an extra cost of € 40 , or have the entry codes, secret, provided by us the day before arrival: you have chosen to do online check-in at no cost, without personnel. IT WAS ITS CHOICE! Furthermore we are 24 hours always available on the phone: so much so we assisted you by phone until you entered the room. (there is an e-mail demonstration of this choice) She writes that the next day at seven in the morning he was awakened by terrible noises in the building: given that in Italy no one works at seven in the morning, the thing does not turn out: it is enough go see the comments of other customers staying in the same period to find no trace of accusations made. Scam artists, be warned!
I have never written a negative review before, but please take this warning seriously. This was the worst hotel experience I have had in 20 years of traveling and staying at hundreds of hotels. They double booked my suite and put me in a regular room in the middle of the lobby. They treated me nicely and acted as if they cared and were willing to correct the mistake. They told me they would move me the next day and compensate me, but then said sorry it has been booked again and we will figure out how to compensate you. They also promised to give a complimentary airport shuttle upon my check out, however when I needed to check out there was nobody at the hotel and they didn’t give me my refund or have a car for me. I had to rush to find a taxi and barely made my flight. Not only did they lie and steal from me, but there were bed bugs, which they deny but I am covered in little itchy bites. This was the worst run hotel by people that only care about making their money and not keeping their word. I cannot believe that they can get away with this. Avoid this place at all cost. They know how to scam you and keep you there in order to disqualify you from receiving a refund. The worst hotel for way too much money. Stay anywhere else in Rome. Hotels.com gave a small voucher as an apology, but not nearly enough for a long term high volume customer that trusted their website and its representations.

Your first choice in Rome!

We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. The location is on a nice street and within walking distance of all the major sites. The room was a nice size for Europe and it was clean. This is a family run hotel and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We would recommend this to all our friends.

I really enjoyed my stay here! It wasn't just the location ( Piazza di Spagna ) that made this a great Hotel for me, but the staff as well. the owners were really friendly and helpful, telling me which sites were there for a newcomer to Rome, showing me where the good restaurants were at and as well as some safety tips around the city. Really affordable for the location of this nice hotel. Big beds were the norm for the hotel, so it is perfect for the vacationing couples.

Perfect location. Steps away from the Spanish Steps. We walked to all of the top locations, including the Vatican. Sound proof windows and doors. Spotless rooms and bathroom. I will stay here again! I definitely recommend it.

Great 5 room hotel very close to the Spanish Steps
Very clean charming hotel on the 2nd floor of a building that is very close to the Spanish Steps and the Piazza di Spagna. Small European room with brand new fixtures in the bathroom. Very hot water! Superb Air Conditioning which was a plus as it was in the high 30Cs all week.

Nice little Hotel
We spent 4 nights at this hotel. Can't fault it. The hotel arranged to pick us up from the airport for a small charge. Worth it as it took the stress away from finding the place. They also helped us book tickets to the Vatican which saved loads of time in the queues. Can't think of a bad word to say about the place. You have to remember that there is only 5 rooms, so if you are looking for the big chain feel, then this isn't for you. I would stay here again.

For the price, go for a hotel
This is a Bed and Breakfast situated on the second floor of a lovely building situated next to the Spanish Steps. Run by a lovely Russian lady, who is keen to show you how every last thing in the room functions, you will have a nice stay. Downsides are that breakfast is simply a croissant and nothing else. Not suitable for couples with an "active desire" for each other as her office is right outside your door. The extra pillows may come in handy to solve this problem.

My first time staying in a bed and breakfast. Rooms are well maintained and also have housekeeping daily. You will be given a set of keys, one for the main door for the building, one for the door to Rome55, one for your room and one for the room safe. Breakfast in the morning is croissant/sandwich. What I like about the place is it's location. It is located at the heart of the main shopping area and in front of Spanish steps. It is also near the metro line. The owners and staff is also very helpful and friendly. They treated us very well. I also recommend using their hotel transfer. It is slightly more expensive but worth it. No worries or hassle. You will be driven in a Mercedes or BMW. Driver is a very nice guy.

שהינו בבית ההארחה ארבעה לילות (סוף מאי 2015), אם אפשר היה לדרג את המקום בציון 11 מתוך 10, זה היה הציון. ניקיון - מעולה. מיקום - ליד כל האטרקציות, צמוד למדרגות הספרדיות ולמטרו. אנחנו הלכנו לכל מקום ברגל. מסעדות קטנות ונהדרות בצמוד אליו. לקחת בחשבון כמה דברים- בחדר ישנה מכונת קפה, במידה ואוהבים לשתות קפה עם חלב אמיתי, מומלץ לקנות בקבוק חלב ולהחזיק במיני בר, אחרת יש בחדר חלב כמו שנותנים בטיסות. בבוקר מקבלים קרואסון או מאפה, אין ארוחת בוקר מלאה (מופיע באתר שלהם). בעלת המקום והעובדים נהדרים, מוכנים לעזור תמיד ואין שום בעיה שאינם יודעים לפתור. מקום מאד מאד מומלץ.
