“Will absolutely be back!!!”

The entire experience was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful, not too large or commercial and is located on a nice side street. The staff speaks plenty of english and are extremely friendly. Great location! We walked everywhere! The outdoor terrace on the 7th floor has a phenomenal view of the entire city of Rome - we went up for both the sunrise and sunset - they were gorgeous!The rooms were pretty and cozy and bathrooms were large and very nice - great shower! Breakfast is definately hearty and very tasty! I can't wait to go back to Rome and stay here again!

Stayed at the Sofitel Roma recently to attend a wedding. The staff at the hotel were very accomodating, rooms were on the smallish side but very well decorated with Roger and Gallet amenities. Breakfast was inclued and was beautifully presented and excellent quality.

“Would definately stay again if in Rome”

We were extremely satisfied with Sofitel Roma Hotel. Very classy hotel. They had a great breakfast that was included. We walked to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. There were many restaurants you could walk to from hotel.

“Excellent choice”

Great location, great value. Very satisfying 2 day stay. Don't spend big bucks on the 'fancier' hotels, this one's just as good.

“Great 5 star hotel with a great price”

This hotel is definitely a 5 star hotel. They have great customer service, help you with anything and everything. Nice location, down the block from the Spanish Steps and you can even hang out at the Hard Rock cafe on the other side of the street. The upstairs lounge/restaurant is very nice and so pretty especially at night. My only compliant about this hotel is the shower, if you like to have water pressure then you have to use the handheld shower because barely any water comes from the shower head. We complained about that and had a maid sent to our room and was told that it was normal. Other then that it was a nice, beautiful hotel and everyone there was excellent!

“BEAUTIFUL HOTEL”

We arrived well before the stated check in time and found bith the door and reception staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The receptionist provided us with maps of the city and brochures on destinations of interest. The standard of the room was definitely 5 star and bedlinen was changed daily with housekeeping staff calling to the room in the evening to check all was in order and to turn down the bed. The hotel restaurant in our opinion was overpriced, but we found a lovely cafe in an adjacent street which served food all day and this catered for our early morning meals. We would definitely stay at this hotel again as it was central, had fabulous views over the park and towards the Vatican, and retained the character of a beautiful old building.

“Great! - but internet connections a minor annnoyance”

one concern: hotel internet connection needs improvement. Wireless internet interferes with high speed hard line internet connection. Hotel staff is very cooperative in fixing problems, but still annoying. Otherwise, a great hotel, conveniently located, and a delightful, friendly, and helpful staff.

“First Class Hotel”

I enjoyed a week at this wonderful hotel. The property is well located, and really an attractive property. I thought the staff was very nice, and quite accomidating of my lack of Italian. The public areas were well maintained. The roof deck on the 7th floor offered views of most of Rome. My room itself was small, as expected, but well appointed, with a modern bathroom. I recommend strongly this hotel.

“Beautiful but pricey”

We loved this hotel. Great rooftop bar with a fantastic view of Rome, a sunset drink is a must! Villa Borghese area is very quiet and scenic with lots of umbrella pine trees. The staff were very friendly and helpful, just like in the NYC Sofitel. The beds were so comfortable. Food and drinks were very expensive. Have breakfast outside the hotel (not worth the 25 euro)

“Very Impressed”

This was a fantastic hotel with a true "5 star feel". The staff was wonderful,the room we had was great-a small upgrade but super quiet and comfortable.I agree with the other reviewers on the buffet breakfast-way too expensive for me as I am not a big breakfast eater. I did find the room service coffee and small basket of bread to be more economical. The days that we did venture out for breakfast was CRAZY expensive,at even the "local" looking places. Coffee was anywhere from 4-6 euros! The Sofitel has a great cozy in house bar that we frequented nightly as a meeting place for our group of friends,all the staff spoke great english and the computer "free hour" in the office just just enough to stay in touch. Loved it would go back in a heartbeat!
