Great servicePosted Apr 12, 2014
Hotel staff and service were great. We brought our two-year old toddler at short notice and they found a suitable family room (with a separate area for the cot), helped with the preparation of evening meals, provided a teddy and child slippers as a welcome gift and booked a childminder. Great location, superb terrace overlooking the Villa Borghese park, and a stone's throw from the Spanish steps.

Good hotel centrally located.Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Nice hotel and staff.
Cons: Hotel does need an outside sitting area.
Location: Close to metro so could get to all Rome attractions and close to lots of restaurants.
We were located on 6th floor and twice during our stay, the Restaurant above we're moving furniture around very early in the morning which woke us up. This work should take place after 09.00 at earliest.

Bella RomaPosted Mar 12, 2014
Fabulous hotel, lovely welcome on arrival with a drink on the roof terrace. Lovely room although no view it was quiet and had a huge bed so didn't matter in the slightest. Happy staff, great position in a good area. Would return 100%

Beautiful hotel in a great locationPosted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Location; staff; atmosphere; rooms;
Cons: Breakfast is fine but over priced.
Location: Great view and great location. Walking distance yo the main sights in Rome.
We certainly picked the right hotel for a memorable long weekend in Rome. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful; the view from the terrace is magnificent; the rooms are very well appointed and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is just right. What more can I add that we will stay here when we next visit Rome and will recommend it to our friends too.

I booked this hotel as a vday surprise weekend in rome for my bf. the interior was very Italian and I actually felt like I was in rome. The location was perfect waking distance to good shops and amazing food! We had breakfast on the terrace restaurant of the hotel and it was amazing! The food and view was so worth it!

Good location, bit tiredPosted Jan 29, 2014
It seems in Rome there isn't much between the 5 star selections which are actually 4.5 star (Sofitel, Bernini Bristol, boscolo palace). They are all well located near each other and are a mere 5 min walk from the Spanish steps bordering the borghese gardens. The staff were fine but not overly helpful. The hotel amenities such as the soaps (Hermes) and towels/dressing gowns (frette) are beautiful. However, the corridors are extremely tired and the rooms could do with refurbishing (cracked paint etc). But it's comfortable and reasonably priced so certainly do not regret booking it, but I wouldn't go back. For an extra £100 I would stay at the St Regis.

A wonderful hotel in a great location ...Posted Jan 23, 2014
Pros: Everything, the staff, the location, the very nice and spacious rooms, the quiet neighborhood etc....
Cons: Nothing, I will always stay at this hotel when in Rome!
Location: see above ....
I stayed four nights in this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. I chose the Sofitel because I recently stayed in the Lisbon Sofitel which was equally enjoyable. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. The location is an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Metro Station. In fact, we basically walked to all of the 'must see' sites in the city center. We did take a cab to the Vatican because it was raining! It is also only a few block from Via Venetto (shopping and restaurants). The neighborhood is very, very quiet with only the occasional church bells ringing.
