Good value hotel in Trastevere

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Position, friendliness of staff, nice clean and spacious room, good value.
Cons: Bit of work to make plumbing more efficient. Not much can be done about the rumbling caused by passing trams.
Location: Close to the bustling heart of Trastevere with all its restaurants, etc. Nice walk across the Isola to the Forum through the Theatre of Marcellus.
Interesting and friendly hotel on 4th floor of apartment block. It was perfect for our stay, easy to walk to Rome's attractions. No breakfast at hotel: probably an advantage as we could find tasty and cheap local places. Good place for our short stay. Check the street view before you get there as it's not obvious that it is a hotel from the outside.

Nice place, awesome location

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: The location and the friendly staff.
Cons: Put up a sign somewhere so that it could be located easily.
Location: The river is one block away. Once you cross it, most every major site is a 30 minute walk or less.
Stayed 3 nights. The room was nice, the staff was very friendly and the location was awesome. You can basically walk anywhere in Rome in 30 minutes and there are restaurants all around the place.

It's a good place for Rome sightseeing. Greta location close to many restaurants. Our triple room was spacious for European standards and staff was very helpful

Nice room, great location.

Difficult room to find as front is just a large door although room was excellent in a great location. Some minor improvements I would recommend would be to have a kettle in room to facilitate coffee or tea. Overal good place to stay when in Rome.

Nice hotel, close to everything

Had a lovely experience, nice big room, comfy bed, definitely within walking distance to the major sites - pantheon, roman forum, colosseum, trevi fountain, etc and 15 minute bus ride to Vatican. The only thing I would have wanted was possibly a kettle, to make some tea. However hotel was close enough to restaurants, convience shops, gelato, and everything you want in Rome.

Great location

Brilliant location within walking distance of all the main sights. Hotel room was comfortable and clean - very large with ample storage. Room was serviced daily but clean towels had to be requested otherwise they assumed you would reuse them. Biggest disappointment with the room was the shower. This was very small even for an averaged sized adult. Also you could not stand under the shower head as it did not high enough.

Exceeded Expectations

Stayed three nights. Great location in Trastevere and better on the inside than it looks from the outside. Big room, nice bathroom, clean, quiet and affordable. Right next to tram and short walk from bus #23 to Vatican City. Cyrus (owner/manager) is also very amicable and genuine. A/C was SOOOO nice to come home to after a long day of tourism-ing in the Roman heat. Not a place for business travelers, but great value for the money for everyone else. For those who prefer quaint local flavor to generic international flavor, definitely worth giving a try.

Great spot and staff

The location was good for exploring the river and trastevere area. Having never been to Rome I was pleased with the help from staff as well as amenities nearby.
