The hotel is conveniently located near a tram stop enabling you to get to the heart of Rome (and bus stops) very quickly. We used public transportation the entire time and never encountered any difficulties. The staff at Trilussa Palace Hotel Congress and Spa is exceptional, and always willing to answer your questions or give directions. They also recommended restaurants to try, which were phenomenal. The rooftop bar was a nice place to relax and reflect after a long day of sight seeing, with a beautiful view. The lobby has a public computer that you can use to reserve tickets for events so you can avoid the long cues at some of the tourist sites. It also has a fireplace, with a fire going in the late afternoon/early evening (we were visiting Rome in late November/early December). We arrived in Rome early in the morning and were able to check into our room when we arrived at Trilussa at 10 a.m. The room was very comfortable, with a king size bed, and awesome shower. It had plenty of storage space for clothing in the closet. Our international electric convertor did not work, but the staff had one that they let us use for our entire stay. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we travel to Rome. It is a very economical hotel, and is in a great location!

This hotel has one of the most enviable locations for views and for ease of access to all of the sites you'll most likely want to visit. We booked the standard room and when we checked in they showed us our room, which while clean and perfectly ok, it paled into obscurity when they showed us an upgrade room which overlooked the Pantheon and the square. We paid an extra €30 per night for the upgrade but boy was it worth it. At night you were able to open the windows and watch the world in the square go by, or sit in your room and hear the music being played by musicians on the square. It was surprisingly quiet once you closed the windows and excellent air conditioning meant that you were kept cool. In the morning you could sit and watch the square come alive at a Mediterranean pace. Breakfast was ok with both hot and cold food on offer in the first floor area. All in all this is a really good small hotel, with excellent customer service, great views and an unbeatable location.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are very helpful especially one of the concierge who helped book our train tickets for our onward journey to Florence. I cannot remember his name (I think Umberto) to give credit where it is due, but he went the extra mile to help us. Thank you.
All of the major historical sites are within 15 minutes easy walking distance. There is a pharmacy opposite the square if you require it.
We enjoyed our stay.
We did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the dining. There are many excellent restaurants within a short walking distance.
The hotel was a bit overpriced in my opinion, but I would stay here again due to location.

Great stay although very glad we upgraded our original booking to make sure we stayed in the nicer half of the hotel.
Fun over the top decorations which us non European tourists lapped up!
The jacuzzi was fun but sadly the shower was pretty awful and the only other down side was there were no staff available for any treatments so we didn't take advantage of the spa.
Fabulously helpful and friendly staff - love love loved their local restaurant recommendation.

"Ideal location for visiting Rome & friendly staff"
Staff bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food was spot on also rooms and facility's were excellent. We are planning another trip to Rome next year and will be booking the Ostia antica hotel again.

"Superb location with beautiful period furnishings. Ideal if you have your own transport."
Beautiful villa with panoramic views. Local appointments made it an ideal base. Hidden away so not easy to find. Best to have a car which we did so didn't try the shuttle bus. Atmosphere peaceful, staff helpful, courteous + unintrusive. 4 single ensuite rooms on 5th floor were smallish but clean with comfortable beds, crisp linen, towels + toiletries + fridge with drinks + snacks. No kettle. If you want a glass box hotel it's not for you. Instead period charm + furniture in romantic environment. Superb, abundant breakfast presented beautifully, wide choice of beverages, cereals, yoghurts, juices, enormous macedonia fruit bowl, masses of croissants, breads, preserves, cheese and ham cold cuts. Sadly appointments prevented us from spending more time exploring the surroundings and relaxing in the hotel. If you want to discover the Castelli area which is a beautiful scenic area including countless fantastic restaurants, to which massive numbers of Romans flock on Sundays, hotel is a great base but not convenient for touring Rome, just a bit too far away. Internet not available in the rooms but computer for accessing emails. Would certainly return there again but probably could not afford the usual rates. I will be on the lookout for future offers and discounts though.
