Very nice hotel close to The VaticanPosted Dec 9, 2013
Cons: Queen bed rather than two twins. 120 volt electrical connections.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel after our cruise and during an extended two-day Rome visit. Our stay was quite comfortable and convenient to The Vatican and a nearby train station. Our room was very clean and nice. We preferred a queen bed rather than the side-by-side twins; however, after a full day of touring we managed quite will with this configuration. All staff members were friendly and helpful with typical tourist questions. Special requests were filled without difficulty. The restaurant was quite good as was the waiter staff. Transportation to the airport was arranged by the front desk which was appreciated. I would stay at this hotel again should my travels return to Rome.

Great hotelPosted Nov 21, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet and close to the Vatican.
Cons: No improvements are needed.
Location: The Vatican is 5 minutes away. You can hear Saint Peter's Basilica bells each day.
This was a great hotel just a 5 minute walk from Saint Peter's Basilica. The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was good and the hotel was quiet. The neighborhood has a few restaurants but it is quieter than other parts of town. The best quality was the proximity to the Vatican. If Vatican City is a big part of your trip I would highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely no complaints.

Perfect location for us.Posted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: The décor was lovely and we enjoyed the bar and lobby almost every night. It was a great place to stay and was much more reasonable than most.
This hotel was just across from the Vatican and not in the middle of the downtown tourist sites. All the buses were within a couple blocks walk and so many of our favorite restaurants (not the touristy ones) were all an easy walk as well. The desk staff was very nice even though we needed extra assistance because of our loss of baggage. The breakfasts that were included were wonderful with an abundance of choices and the food staff was very attentive. The location was great and we were able to get to buses and favorite restaurants without any walking up hills which is very difficult for my husband. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were a very good size for the area. There was a small fridge (well stocked mini bar) in the room and the bedding was very comfortable. Bathrooms were also a great size with plenty of storage room. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to be out of the hustle of downtown Rome but have the ability to get there on the bus and explore all areas of Rome.

Pros: Nice breakfast buffet.
Cons: No small face cloths
Location: Vatican 5 mins walk and close to all the sites of Rome you will want to see.
This Hotel was very pleasant, nice breakfast buffet, clean and modern. Popular with a lot of American tourists who were staying there. Literally 5 mins walk to the Vatican was a nice touch. Gas station across the road and Hotel not on the main road meant it was quiet at night. English speaking Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Quiet hotel, excellent breakfastsPosted Nov 11, 2013
Staff were very helpful, and hotel was well maintained and spotless. Breakfast was excellent with large choice of buffet items. Coffee from the buffet area was awful but the staff were happy to make a fresh one when asked. The location was in a quiet street so no significant noise at night. Location is good for St Peter's and the Vatican. The only problem with the location is that it is on the wrong side of the river for restaurants and bars, so have a bus ride or a long walk.

Very close to St. Peter's and Vatican museumPosted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: Convenient. Comfortable. great service
Location: Vatican. Went to 3 masses
Loved Rome! Everyone very friendly. Great sites. Walked everywhere with no specific agendas and just explored the city. Tons of churches, stores, fountains, piazzas, frescoes, art, sculptures and I know we only skimmed the surface in the 3 days we were there. Wish we could have visited the forum and coliseum again. Loved that in previous visit especially a guided tour. Food was always good. Wine also!

Rome in 3 daysPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: People were very helpful - left luggage was no issue - had the feeling of a "posh hotel".
Cons: Air con - make sure it can be switched off in the room - reception can do it, but you need to know that you have to ask them.
Location: Very close to St Peter's - huge queues on Sunday, but fine otherwise. Good restaurants just to the north on Borgo di Piu.
We stayed at the Michelangelo for 3 nights. The rooms were fine, but beds were a bit hard. Air con and bathroom lighting seemed to have life of its own - air con was noisy. The staff were very quick to please and breakfast was good quality, although cooked breakfast options were limited and the same each morning. We had a family room, which turned out to be two double rooms linked - so excellent value.
