Amazing location close to everything!!! We were able to walk to all the cool sites. 10 minutes to piazza novona, 15 min to trevi fountain, 15 min to Spanish steps, 15 minutes to Vatican . Perfect location

Cons: May be a better breakfast
by Genevieve from Latin America
Location of bed and breakfast is OK, but price...Posted Oct 7, 2013
Cons: All the rest...breakfast, staff, cleanness, illumination, furniture, etc...
Location: Close to Piazza Navona and to the storic center of Rome...only convenience...
...and all the rest is terrible. It is a little bit sinister, and, I insist, for the price you could find an equal best located b&b or two-star little hotel. I was dissapointed and do not advise anyone to go there, more if you travel alone!!!!! The bad thing is that it was well rated!!!!! Watch out...

Surprising In RomePosted Oct 4, 2013
What a find - fabulous location and incredibly fascinating building. We found this hotel had everything we needed to make our stay in Rome perfect. Marco was very responsive to our needs and very helpful. Street noise could be a problem for some but you can always close the windows and heh - this is Rome - and it never sleeps. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly.

Excellent stay in Surprising in RomePosted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: Really close to the sites, right beside the bus stop, beautifully furnished and spacious room, and the staff were all lovely and very helpful!
Location: Very close to the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and most of the sites.
Surprising in Rome was excellent! The room was brilliant, and we thought we were getting a room with a separate bathroom but we had an ensuite. Our double room was a great size and was beautifully furnished and decorated. The staff were all absolutely lovely and had we actually made it on time and not been delayed, they would have been there waiting to let us in and show us to our rooms. They got there as soon as they could when we contacted them to let us in. They were very helpful and just generally very nice people. My boyfriend and I plan to go back to Rome someday and we'll definitely stay in Surprising in Rome again, it was great and within a short walking distance of the Colosseum, The Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, and there was a bus stop right outside which had regular buses running to the Termini train station.

The room was really nice. There was no phone to use so had to go to a local cafe. Getting into the hotel was impossible, there is no reception and its in a building within other businesses/companies. No one knew where the Surprising In was and took over half an hour to get into the room. It was a surprise that I do not want to have again!

Great place!Posted Oct 9, 2012
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom. Although, it's an old building...
Great location! No reception desk but was emailed prior to arrival to arrange for transportation from the airport. Someone was there every morning to come clean and he was very helpful!
