nice micro hotelPosted Oct 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our stay at the Target Inn, its just a few rooms in a large building with other hotels. Room very clean and a good breakfast is included served room service style. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Bed was kind of hard, but other than that, very pleasant stay and convenient to train station. Don't miss Trattoria Target around the corner, excellent food!

A quiet and comfortable place to stayPosted Jun 10, 2012
When I see a hotel that is inside a building I always start with a preconception on its quality. While the Target Inn didn't blew me away on an "absolute" metric, the combination of an average price, excellent position and good quality of the rooms was able to overcome my preconception and... well, it's actually a good hotel to stay in Rome that I would definitely suggest. On the plus side I might add: 1. It's near to Roma Termini Train Station and to the subway, a very interesting combination. 2. The Hotel it's also on the third floor (with a lift) and the room that was given to me (307) was facing to a quiet road, but I guess that most if not all the rooms are facing on the same road. 3. Internet: for both the evenings I used it, it was responsive and with a good latency. 4. I value highly gentle, responsive and smiling staff. The two people I talked to had all these qualities.

Safe, clean choice near Roma Termini... but not impressedPosted Nov 30, 2011
Picked this hotel about much last-minute research on mostly Tripadvisor which was difficult given the number of hotels in Rome. Our priorities were location to the train station, cleanliness/safety, price, and service. Target Inn hit on most of these points. Location is only about 10-15 minutes walking from Roma Termini train station, but could take longer with heavier luggage, more foot traffic, getting lost without directions, etc. The metro stop, Republica, is one stop away from Roma Termini which is convenient. Room was clean, modern-looking, and fairly spacious with good wifi and room safe. Shower temperature was occasionally variable. Heater unit did not work well during the winter so we left it off. Room was somewhat noisy from traffic at night. Breakfast is served to your room which is a nice convenience and they try to accommodate preferences. Service was mostly good, however was not above expectations. One evening we had a new front desk staff (1st day) who was unable to answer basic tourist questions, but at least he tried and got answers eventually. Target Inn is certainly an adequate hotel for its location, price, cleanliness, included in-room breakfast and amenities, speedy free wifi, and the willingness of the staff to help. However, if you are looking for exceptional service with above-average knowledge of restaurants/etc, other options may be available. We would consider staying here again if visiting Rome and the price were right.

Target InnPosted Sep 9, 2011 on Hotels.com
The rooms are reallly lovely: stylish 'boutique-style' modern decor, very clean, couldn't be faulted. The service was friendly and helpful. Target is on the third floor of a building which contains other small hotels - and the entrance/ front door of the hotel could probably do with a bit of TLC as it slightly undermines the work of Target in making their hotel so pleasant. The location is good if you want to be near the station but is a bit far from the main sights - you will need to get buses and metro. And you would need to stay more in the old town if you want a stay in 'romantic Rome'. The hotel is recommended for a short break in Rome and is good value for money, especially for the quality of the rooms.
