Live like a localPosted Apr 25, 2013
Pros: Living for a few days in an area not frequented by tourists, but not far from the city means you see how ordinary people live.
Cons: Late night club under apartment was a bit noisy but keeping the shutters closed kept out most of the noise
Location: Great location, you do need to walk a bit and figure out how to buy bus tickets to get into the city. Busses and trains from Piazza Bologna close by
This is not a hotel, it is an apartment in a block, where local people live. The owners are not on site. We checked in late at night and the owners were very helpful and explained how to get about and see Rome. It was comfortable and clean and in a good position. We were able to take the bus into Rome to see all the major sites very easily. There is a supermarket next door and a deli down the street a bit. We were able to find great local food without the outrageous tourist prices! €1 for a coffee at a local bar versus €5 in the centre of Rome. Would come back and stay here again. Late checkin costs more and they want cash as payment rather than cards.

Very close to the metroPosted Oct 5, 2011
The apartment was clean and tidy, the kitchen was basic but adequate for my needs. There is a lift which is good as the apartment was on the 9th floor. There was no kettle so water had to be boiled in a pan. The apartment is right by a metro stop taking you straight into the centre of Rome, but this does close at 9pm in the evening and then its down to a taxi or bus. The apartment manager was extremely helpful and provided me with a map highlighting all the key attractions and also kept my luggage on my last day so I could explore. The only down side was I could not get the wifi to work but thats not really a big issue.

Spacious B&B near downtown RomePosted Dec 2, 2010
We had some difficulty finding it, but once we got there we were very happy with our stay. It is close enough to the big sites and the area has definitely feels local. As the guest house is in a busy area, it can be noisy even in to the night. The breakfast is very basic. We stayed in the larger room, which was quite spacious. The room was cleaned each morning, which was nice for a B&B. The owner and her daughter are very friendly and accommodating.
