Nice choice in Rome!Posted Nov 14, 2013
Good location ( very near to the main train station and metro station) , nice room and nice staff, beautiful view from the roof garden where you will have breakfast every morning. Hotel looks very new, room is very modern and clean. There is even light music in the washroom :))) The receiption counter and hotel lobby is a bit small compare to other 4 star hotels but those didn't bother us at all. Everything is perfect!

Nice hotel but a small lobby and very small lift.Posted Oct 12, 2013
Nicely updated hotel close to Rome' Central (Terminus) Railway station. The area a little crowded and touristy as a result. Lovely roof garden restaurant for breakfast (one of the best we have had on our Europe tour so far). Fantastic views over Rome from the roof garden on the 8th floor. Great place for evening drinks. Friendly, obliging staff. A very small foyer and small lift probably the worst features. Large, clean very comfortable rooms but obviously plumbing problems as the shower water would not drain away quickly, flooding the bathroom floor every time we used the shower. Great, cheap restaurants nearby with LaFamiglia just around the corner the pick of them with genuine Italian cuisine at very reasonable prices.

Good choicePosted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: Roof garden for meals
Independent Hotel was a good choice for us as it is very close to the termini as well as the Alitalia bus stop and pick up. Online directions to the hotel were excellent. Breakfast on the roof garden was awesome - beautiful view and nice assortment of food. Staff were very friendly and engaging. Would definitely return.

Nice hotel close to Termini train stationPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: Had everything I needed... decent bed, good shower, nice breakfast.
Location: Very close to Termini train station, where you can either get a train out of the city, or jump onto either of Rome's two subway lines.
Small, efficient, well-appointed rooms. Modern decor. Bed was comfortable. Lift was small, especially when moving luggage. Breakfast included on terrace overlooking Rome. Good selection of breakfast foods. Staff was very nice.

Extraordinary.Posted Aug 3, 2013
Cons: Small pool on the roof.
Location: World class museum just steps out the door.
Superb surroundings with an absolutely courteous staff. Featuring a great design sensibility on a small scale, this hotel ranks right up there with the best imho. Splendid roof bar and excellent breakfast. Located in a most convenient spot on top of everything else. A pleasure.

Great little hotel for a romantic break in Rome!Posted Jul 16, 2013
Pros: The balcony in our room, breakfast, room size, location
Cons: dodgy shower draining, couldn't work the waterfall shower head
Location: easy to walk to main attractions if you are willing to walk, maybe not so ideal for people who want very short walk...very close to termini though!!
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. When we arrived, check in was quick and easy and we found our room immediately. As mentioned by others the lobby area is rather small but that was absolutely no issue. The lift is also small, but again this was not really a problem except for at breakfast time when it was quite busy and we often just ended up taking the stairs. We were delighted with our room, it was very spacious and to our surprise we had a balcony!! Whilst booking I asked for a room with a view if possible and they certainly delivered on that! The bed is very large, there is plenty of floor space and the balcony was just incredible for sitting out in at evenings. Try and get a room with a balcony if you can - there are only 4 rooms that have them. The only issue with our room was the shower - we could not figure out how to work the waterfall shower head (there was both a waterfall showerhead and a handheld shower head). When we called reception to ask she did not understand us so we just left it and used the handheld the whole time. Also, the shower filled up whilst you were showering which was rather annoying - I think there may have been a drainage issue. Apart from that everything else was superb! Breakfast selection was perfect and filled us up very well to last until lunch - we loved eating it on the roof terrace! Overall a very enjoyable stay! It is easy to walk to all main attractions from as well. Definitely recommend.

The Independent Hotel was great! The staff was courteous and the Roof Top bar was simply amazing! There is an amazing view from the roof at night! Very romantic! It was about a 20 min walk to the Coliseum. If you are considering staying in ROME, the Independent hotel is the premier place to be!

Awesome Rooftop ViewsPosted Jul 5, 2013
Pros: The new decor, the huge room and the rooftop deck for breakfast and a glass of wine at night.
Cons: The bed was as hard as a rock. The pillows sucked too. All of the pillows were firm. We also did not get a wake up call that we scheduled.
Location: The only thing near by is the train station. Not near good restaurants or gelato or any attractions.
We were so thrilled by the spacious room, everything seemed very new and updated. Perfect. (And I am tough to please). Loved the rooftop deck for breakfast and a glass of wine at night. You can see the Vatican from the roofdeck. We spent at least eight hours researching the best place for us to stay in Rome and this hotel did not disappoint. The only downside is it is very far from almost everything you would want to visit and there are not good restaurants or gelato places near by. But it was very close to the train station and we took day trips to Florence and Venice and it was just a five minute walk to the train station. At the train station you can also take tour buses around Rome to all of the tourist attractions. Another plus about the hotel was we made one long distance call home, it was about a 17 minute call and only cost 11 Euros to use the hotel room phone. We thought it would be much more expensive. :)
