Pros: Shower
Cons: Lack of attention to detail
Location: OLD, DATED, and most importantly TIRED
Beautiful OLD hotel, I felt it did not live up to the St. Regis Standard overall, No house car, No late night and especially no overnight hot food from room service. Didn't go to restaurant, but it also didn't look that interesting. Location is at the top of the hill where the aqueduct originated, but its not a very well working entrance... Dated property with lack of current bar program or anything attractive going on... Reminds me of the stuffy old Parlor in the San Francisco Fairmount, not in a good way either...

The St. Regis is the definition of luxury and the best in class. The front desk and concierge were outstanding and provided the best recommendations for what to do, how to get there and where to go. First class all the way. My only complaints are the lack of a basic necessity for traveling which is an iron; and secondly the restaurant in the hotel, while good, was dramatically OVERPRICED. $70 USD for a couple sandwiches, coffee and water is just flat out ridiculous. Lastly the hotel did provide an electric converter with adapter but it still ended up completely frying my wife's $120 hair straightener and the hotel staff simply said "sorry".

Superb hotel in a great location
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: The staff, decor and room.
Cons: No irons available 'for fire safety reasons' - more likely so that you use the hotel's own laundry service!
Location: Perfect for exploring Rome on foot or using the Metro/mainline railways from the Termini station.
This hotel is a superb base to explore Rome. Everywhere is walkable, from the Trevi Fountain taking around 20 minutes to walk to, 30 to the Colosseum and the the Vatican taking around 45 minutes to get to on foot. The hotel itself is like walking into a time gone by with a lavish lobby and superbly attentive staff. The lobby is very grand and reminded us of our stay in the Waldorf Towers in NYC. Our Superior room was large, well-appointed and very clean and comfortable. The hotel's own restaurant is superb and provided us with the best meal of our 4-night stay. Would recommend this hotel greatly.

Beautiful hotel in Rome.

The hotel was great such a beautiful place to stay in Rome. Mauricio at the bar was great. The concierge desk was great they were a huge help. Once we figured out the general areas of Rome we realized we were a little far south from the areas we really fell in love with. The area it self is a little touristy compared to the Campo de' Fiori area which we loved.

Pros: Location of the hotel was in the middle of everything.
Cons: Well the building was built in 1904, so the place looked good for its age. Lol wish they had a pool and a gym.
Location: Awesome location.
Awesome! Worth every penny. Love it! Location of the hotel was near mostly everything.

Romantic Roma
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Pros: Everything but we weren't there long enough to try the spa unfortunately.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The location was perfect so much so that after the first day we were able to walk to St Peters Square even though it was quite a distance away.
Loved everything about this hotel from the doorman and bellboys to the waiters and reception staff. Everyone was so helpful and the hotel is truly 5* luxury, We always had hot water in the bathroom and the turndown service was especially nice with a little box of chocolates left in the room. My only complaint is that I couldn't afford to stay longer. It was truly magical

Treated like Royalty

Great place for the whole family, business trip or honeymoon. This may be the BEST hotel in Rome. Service is exceptional and the whole staff just go out of their way to be of assistance. My family enjoyed our Easter stay there and were treated to an exceptional time. My 86 year old father-in-law to my 16 year old son felt like all they had to do is ask and it was done. The hotel staff helped with ground transportation for my family and thru out our stay. They even supplied a wheelchair for my father-in-law. How far would they go? We didn't find out they just don't say No.

Pure classic luxury at a great location only a short walk from Termini central station and therefore ideally placed to visit the city's many sites. Every corner you turn in this city is an education.
