Conveniently located family appartment

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Location and ability to accommodate 6
The hotel is located in easy walking distance of The Vatican, St Peters, Castello St Agnello and many restaurants. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The sleeping accommodation for 6 was adequate but the kitchen was a little snug.Amazing view from the roof terrace.

Superb value and location

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Location was fantastic and nearby amenities were a stones throw away. Clean and quiet. An apartment felt so much more relaxed than staying in a hotel.
Cons: The terrace was a bit bare, would be nice to have to seating and facilities on the rooftop.
Location: Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo are visible from the street, the metro is a 10 minute walk away. Places to eat just round the corner on Borgo Pio.
For a hotel you can step out of and see the vatican at the end of the street, you might assume you will be paying extra for that luxury, this is not the case. The apartment (A5) was clean and divided into three rooms and a hall. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom had everything we needed. Bed was firm and comfy, just as I like. Bathroom had a powerful shower. The hotel also has a rooftop terrace which gives superb views of the Vatican. The nearest metro is Ottaviano which is a 10 minute walk away, impossible to get lost. There are shops and restaurants just around the corner on Borgo Pio. Thankfully for us not too many tourists, they seem to miss Borgo Pio as they keep to the main roads that run parallel. There is a superb takeaway seconds away that serve fresh pizza for €3 and some quirky restaurants that have a help yourself to wine policy. Hotel staff are very helpful and the communal facilities are very handy when you must checkout at 10am and have a later flight, so the secure luggage store is a big plus. When we come back to Rome we will definately stay here again

Loved the neighborhood feel being nestled in near Vatican and St. Peter's . close to piazza navona, 15 minutes to train and bus. Great walk to tiber river and lots if great shopping and restaurants near by . Markets to buy light groceries right down the street . Helpful staff , they can leave early though.

Comfort of home at Trianon Borgo Pio

Posted Jan 2, 2015
We found Trianon Borgo Pio through Expedia, and we're so glad. It's an apartment hotel. You get the feeling of home with the available help from staff. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is near many amenities and transit. It's a five minute walk to The Vatican. Gorgeous neighbourhood. We'd stay at the hotel again.

Pleasant stay

Posted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: Near shops, restaurants and Vatican.
Cons: Kitchen lighting.
Location: Vatican City.
We had arrived too early so we were advised we could place our luggage in storage. We stayed 5 days. Staff was most helpful. We were five minutes from the Vatican. We walked extensively and used the metro which was 15 minutes away. It was easy to use. We had a map but quite often got lost which is not a bad thing because you discover so much! Our place was nice. It was clean and roomy. It was helpful to have a kitchen but I would suggest to have the kitchen lights brighter. We were near shops and restaurants. I would definitely return.

A Nice Place to Stay

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: Very comfy apartment with a nice view of the Vatican from the balcony room #a23.
Cons: Internet wasn't the best spotty at times.
Location: Excellent location for Vatican and Castle Angelo. Ten minute walk for each in opposite directions. Also 10 minutes to the metro station.
Stay here if you want to be close to the Vatican and its museums. Also a short 10 minute walk to the metro station for access to the other main attractions. The SITbus from the airport leaves you a short walk to the hotel 10-15 minute if ( get off the bus Vatican stop walk left until you see a small gas station and a PAM green supermarket sign on the corner turn left and cross the street walk straight for 3 blocks Trianon will be yellow building on right) you don't have too many bags and it costs only 6 euros vs 48 for a taxi. All in all a very nice stay for the price.

Täydellinen hotelli pienen lapsen kanssa

Posted Nov 19, 2014

Great location. Cooling issues.

Posted Nov 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Good location. Buses close by. Hotel looked nice and the room was clean. The main issue was that the AC wasnt working properly and the room got very hot. It was then a choice between sleeping in a hot room or sleeping with the window open (and a ton of street noise).
