Beautiful hotel in an ideal locationPosted Sep 14, 2014
We arrived at the hotel around 12.30am and the reception was still open and perfectly welcoming. All of our expectations were met to a great standard and the staff were very helpful and friendly, they also spoke very good English. Breakfast was fantastic! There was plenty of food right until the last minute, gorgeous cakes and pastries and the coffee was to die for! The room was slightly small but that's just the luck of the draw, we stayed for a week and it wasn't a real drawback. The facilities in the room were great, only thing that there wasn't an iron or kettle but you can request an iron and board when needed. The room had sky but most channels were in Italian. Wifi was free, it wasn't fantastic but it did the job and allowed Internet access as long as you are patient (it was faster downstairs in the breakfast bar). The location was great! The hotel is located on the Vatican side of the river Tiber, approximately a 15-20 minute walk to the Vatican museums. Walking the other way to the colosseum, the walk was around 40-50 minutes long. Public transport isn't necessary for the major sites! It is in a safe and lovely location too so walking back to the hotel late at night wasn't an issue. Overall, the hotel was wonderful and helped make our holiday perfect!

Rome returnPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Location is perfectly situated within half distance to Vatican, St Peters Basilica, Coleseum and Via Del Corso
Cons: Nothing really. Maybe an improved breakfast offering. Although it is free included with the hotel rate.
Location: Vatican, St Peters Basilica, Coleseum and Via Del Corso. Also is on a strip of street where you can get away from crowds.
This is my second visit to Rome and Twenty One Hotel. A great hotel with great people. Most modern conditions inside. The people go their way to look after you. I was without luggage due to an airline comedy or errors. The people did their best to help me communicate with the Fumicino Airport as well as speaking to Alitalia to change flights. Germano, Cristina and Federico were excellent people that looked after me as well as talking to.

Close to everythingPosted Aug 7, 2014
Not only was the hotel; clean and comfy but it was within walking distance to the major tourist attractions we wanted to see. Just over 30 min walk to colleseum area, which didn't seem long with all the streets and shops to look at and explore on the way. The beautiful Villa Borghese gardens were a 5 minute walk up the main road and even from the airport it took under an hour. Perfect location and hotel facilities that made our stay completely comfortable, especially as the room was well air conditioned!!! 10/10

Good value hotel in an excellent locationPosted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Free WiFi, contemporary styling, good air con, good breakfast, comfortable room.
Location: Hotel is conveniently situated between the sights of the city of Rome and the Vatican. Nearest metro is a short walk away (Lepanto). An amazing city.
A comfortable, contemporary hotel in an excellent location. Very reasonable prices for in-room bar. Good, free wifi ( a must for all hotels these days). I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and will stay again when I next visit the stunning city of Rome. Staff were most helpful and a map of the city was issued at check-in. A very pleasant stay and experience.

Good!!Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and bathroom!!!
Cons: Linens!!! They should put a little money in renewing their linens for four star hotel linens!!
Location: Location was great!! Restaurants and stores very close!!
For an European hotel (which are normally tiny) this hotel was good enough. Comfortable for two people and it had a good size bathroom and bed room. Now, in detail (i) the air conditioner was located right in front the bed, son it got too cold while sleeping and there was no possibility to redirect it; (ii) the bed mattress and linens were OK, EXCEPT for the comforter, which was like sand paper!!! Never felt anything harder in my life!!!; (iii) the bathroom toiletries were OK. However, it would have been nice to have hair conditioner instead of only shampoo and shower gel; (iv) the breakfast was very good. Buffet style with different options; however, would have been nice to have more fruit available; (v) Hotel location was great!!! Over a commercial street where you have restaurants and stores at a reasonable walking distance. In conclusion, our stay was good. Rome is a lovely city and will definitely will return.

Perfect position and grat staffPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: great location and great staff. very clean room
Location: great location
Myself and my daughter stayed at twentyone hotel for 7 nights during our first visit to Rome, and were warmly welcomed by Rita at reception on arrival. Rita was incredibly polite, friendly and knowledgable, giving us a map of Rome . We had booked a standard double room, and were asked whether we would like a shower or a bath in our room when we arrived. we choose bath .The room was not overly large but big enough for a city break stylishly furnished . A safe was provided free of chargeand also WIFI . The reception at the hotel are very good and will help with directions and recommendations and there are lots of free tourists maps which are invaluable as they are easy to read and get barings. The location of the hotel is great to visit all the main attractions- 15 mins walk to The Vatican, 15 mins walk to Pantheon, 15 mins walk to Piazza del Popolo. The included buffet breakfast was very basic lacked in choice . There were basic stuff like bread , drinks, bacon and eggs. There were not much of fruits, there were no vegetables at all. All in all we had a great days I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Conveniently located hotelPosted Jul 17, 2014
This hotel is in an excellent location to get to the major attractions. The staff was nice, and the room was clean, although it's simple and the deco of black and white is stark.

Good location, modern and comfortablePosted Jul 14, 2014
Good location for sightseeing, staff very helpful, modern and comfortable hotel, good breakfast. There is what appears to be a pumped air freshener throughout the hotel which results in an overpowering smell of air freshener - turning it down a notch would be an improvement

good hotel, close to shopping and cultural areas.Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: everything, they could sell more beer if they would just approach people - guests can be too shy to ask !
Cons: nothing really, its is excellent
Location: location very good, just getting to know this when we left. Vatican to right , all other culture turn left
-Very clean hotel, worth 4 stars -staff efficient, -Breakfast good - our stay = 5 nights -only 2 issues; firstly us brits need to get to know the language a bit more- it woud have helped a lot, I detect a tad of justifiable resentment in this regard; secondly getting a beer in the hotel and bars around and about can be quite difficult at times, but then it may be just cultural differences. -all in all an excellent hotel, would stay there again for sure. -Safety , you take your life in your hands around Rome streets, lots of traffic, they only stop on crossings if you have already made your move ! Scary at first. -Red bus tour disappointing, -you get the most out of your stay if you walk with a guide book and map.(there are so many streets, not all maps cite them) -If you are there for a short stay, eat in the hotel, it may be just our luck, but eating out on budget restaurants is very "hitty missy" -Lots and lots of street sellers - too many really, although they are not too pushy- they are tolerable. In all go to Rome, it is good.
