excellent hotel in great location for city sights

Posted Oct 22, 2014
spent 3 nights at hotel una in October - staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Facilities excellent. although situated in busy area next to tramlines and close to termini the hotel was quiet. Food good with a wide variety of choices at breakfast. Lots of good reasonably priced restuarants nearby. Great location as base in Rome

Much better than we thought it would be,

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: very central for tourists, near the station and all buses incl tour buses. We ate out round the corner in a pavement resteraunt, prices were right.
Cons: nothing we can think about
Location: Central location, for the young its all walkable, but a tour bus is a good way to get around, its hop on and off, which is very useful.
We did upgrade to a superior room, and it was well worth it, considering we were 100 yards from the Termini our inside room was very quiet, the bed is the best we have been in, generally it more than met our expectations.

hotel was amazing... general info too about Rome

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Amazing hotel, lovely interior. Room & bathroom clean, modern and spacious. Location of the hotel is key as there are close links to everything!!!
Cons: the hot section in the breakfast buffet in the hotel isn't great, but nowhere abroad every is, so no change there.
Location: Everything apart from Vatican city is 20mins walk from the hotel. Vatican city itself is cast out away from the rest of the City, so expect to travel.
hotel was lovely and spacious (huge modern bathroom: and that's a standard room too), literally 30secs walk from termini station. Transport from the airport to the station is only 14 euros by train (which is connected to the airport) so don't waste your money with a taxi as we never needed one during the whole trip (if you are going to get a taxi, make sure it's a white taxi). The hotel itself & the staff offered everything we needed and we were shocked it was only 4 star. The only time we ate in the hotel restaurant was for breakfast, but that is nothing to shout about as no foreign country can match a good hearty full-English, We just ate out & skipped breakfast. Moving on we stayed for 4 days which was easily enough to get through every tourist attraction in Rome. We worked out for 2 people your looking at about £100-150 a day spends for everything. However there are things that obviously cost more like queue jumping at the Vatican. Getting around, there is a hop-on-hop-off bus down the road which comes 10mins, £20 a day is definitely worthwhile as it takes you to every place of interest you will want to go to. if you want to walk, everything apart from Vatican city, is within 20mins walk of the hotel. One place I would seriously recommend going is Castel Sant Angelo as the view of the Vatican from the top is amazing £12 with a nice museum too. Overall, Hotel 5 star quality, for such a cheap price. 'When' I return to Rome, 100% guaranteed we will be staying here

Lovely hotel, very modern. Rooms had air con, big bathroom, super king bed, sky tv. Staff were great and very helpful. Excellent location- near the train station and walking distance to most of the popular attractions. We used the metro which was simple and cheap! Overall fantastic city break and great hotel.

A very good Hotel

Pros: Professionalism of all involved and a high level of cleanliness
Cons: Very little - a bit expensive - but you get what you pay for !
Location: Near the main railway station - many good Pizzerias within a few minutes walk. A comfortable walk to Colloseum and sights.
It was very good from check in to check out and our group of four enjoyed everything in front of us.
