Nice Hotel, Good Location

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast. The savory items need improvement. The sweet items (pastries and such) were great.
Location: Borghese Park is very close. The Spanish Steps are only a 15 minute stroll away.
Valadier is a beautiful hotel just a couple of blocks from the Piazza Del Poppolo. Rooms are small and there isn't much storage space for your clothes, but, that is pretty much the case in any hotel you stay at in Rome. The room was attractive with a modern bathroom. The shower was larger than I expected. Breakfast is provided on a beautiful roof terrace and the food was OK. The breakfast staff was very nice. Ask for a cappuccino and they'll be happy to make one for you. The Via Del Corso, a main shopping street, is 1 block away. Metro is just across the Piazza Del Poppolo. Higher floors are better because there is some street noise to deal with. I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone needing one in Rome.

Mitten im Zentrum

Posted Apr 13, 2015

Hotel central to all main attractions

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Location, interior, breakfast.
Cons: Sound proofing, double glazed windows that actually kept the noise out.
Location: Within walking distance of most of the tourist must-do spots.
We had asked for a 'quiet' room as we had heard that due to its location some rooms were noisy. We were assured that we had one of the quieter rooms, or we could upgrade to a 'superior' room for an extra fee per night. We declined this offer as we didn't intend to spend a lot of time in the room. Unfortunately there is a lot of ambient noise from the road outside, the hotels piano bar and another bar in the road. The double glazed windows did nothing to alleviate the noise which went on well into the early hours. Apart from this issue the hotel is ideally placed, has an amazing interior and the breakfast on the roof garden was more than adequate.
