Simple room close to train station

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Close to Termini train station, you can take the train to major attractions. Free WIFI in hotel. A/C worked in room. Walk from Termini with luggage
Cons: Room is 1 star. Extremely basic. Very disappointing and unimpressive. All 5 of us had to sleep in 1 room. 3 beds and a scary bunk bed all in 1 room
Location: Close to bus station and Termini station. Restaurant/bar across the street. Take the train to all major attractions…too far to walk
Bare minimum room. Painted completely white. Nothing on the walls. Scary bunk bed that drops out of wall. Close to Termini train station but far from major attractions. Many young people in teens to early twenties constantly checking in at front desk or hanging around in lounge for internet. Old elevator holds 2 people. Breakfast not included. Not suited for family stay!! 5 of us in one room and luggage on the floor! Price didn`t reflect the simplicity of the room.

Close to railway station

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Very disappointed with Expedia for not telling us in advance that the hotel Romae has now been taken over by Yellow and is a youth hostel. No issues with clientelle at all but I was charged the same rate as if it was a hotel. Room was directly opposite the Yellow bar which was in the building across the street, bar stayed open until midnight each night with revellers sitting at tables outside, so be prepared for noise. Room was small, to be expected in a big city, dimly lit and consisted of a double bed and bunk beds. Fine if you are staying two nights with a rucksack, less so if you have three large suitcases and are staying for 5 nights or more. Location is ideal for the train station but you have to walk past a lot of dodgy characters. Local restaurants are reasonable and very friendly. Train station itself is a nightmare of beggars etc, be careful! Would recommend the Romae to a twenty something backpacker, less inclined to do so for a family holiday. Zero marks to Expedia for lack of transparency.

O hotel é um HOSTEL, que susto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted Jul 11, 2014

Good location but actually a hostel like hotel

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Good location
Cons: See above review
Location: Near train station.
Clean room with enough space. However the check in was misleading. We had to move through many people who we're seeking a hostel. The hotel has the same check in desk. Not a problem but unexpected based on prior reviews. Also we were not checked in correctly and a security person came into our room at 3 am. Not a pleasant experience!! Overall the hotel was clean and provided the correct space but it was not as expected. No coffee and no fruit as expected plus internet was not accessible from the room as promised. Overall good location but would seek out a different location for family travel.

Lit confortable, rien de plus !

Posted Jun 11, 2014 on Hotels.com

The location was great, close proximity to Roma Termini( 5 blocks). Tons of restaurants nearby. Staff was very helpful & room was clean. A little small in size but we were sightseeing most of the time & ce back only to sleep, overall, good place to stay & wallet friendly

Functional Hotel close to central train station

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Went with family (two children aged 8 and 12). The positive is that the hotel is close to Termini and therefore good for the metro. Room was clean and the reception efficient as staffed by students taking on part-time employment. Hotel really caters for backpackers and students. Breakfast was not included but can be purchased at the Yellow Bar just across the street. It got somewhat monotonous after a few days but little choice given children needed feeding. Hotel was clean and room was small but had high ceilings. I found it a little expensive considering the location, no breakfast and the size of room.

Good value hotel. Relaxed. Close to the metro.

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: The hotel is relaxed, good value and has all that is needed for a stay in Rome.
Cons: A little more storage space would be nice and an instruction on which buzzer will get you in late when the main door is closed.
Location: A good location a little way out of the centre. Close to the Metro. Good restaurants in the area as well as easy access to the main sites.
The hotel is relaxed and good value. The room has all that you need without unnecessary frills. The bed was large and comfortable in what was billed as a small double. The room was clean and well serviced on a daily basis. The hotel gave us towels to take to the beach for a day. Complimentary coffee is available throughout the day on a help yourself basis. There is no restaurant but the Yellow bar over the road does good value breakfast. The hotel is well located for the metro and you can walk into the main sites.
