Nice guesthouse close to Vatican.

Posted Dec 28, 2013
Pros: I went during Christmas, so it worked out really well as I could walk to the square for the Christmas Eve Mass and the Christmas Day Pope's blessings
Cons: The internet was very unstable.
Location: The only thing nearby is the Vatican City.
The guesthouse is one big apartment divided into multiple rooms. Each room has a bedroom with a bathroom. It is relatively clean. However you can hear the bathroom sound of the room next door. It is 10 mins walk to Vatican City, but far from other attractions. Also the area doesn't have good restaurants, and is very quiet at night.

Error in my favour!

Posted Nov 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
When I turned up there was some confusion, and it seemed there had been a mistake with my booking. This would be a worry in many hotels but here, the owner Luigi came running and took me (and carried my bags) to another property which was AMAZING. I ended up with a large 2-bed apartment overlooking the Vatican all to myself! Luigi was a star and spent plenty of time showing me where things were and advising me on what to go to see. I'd definitely go back!

Nice guest house near the Vatican and Metro

Posted Oct 21, 2013
We stayed in a triple room (2 double and 1 single bed) at Zero6, which is located on the 2nd floor of residential building. There are 5 rooms in this guest house and a common hallway where the Nespresso machine, drinks and pre-packaged pasteries are available for guests. Wifi is available but was very sporadic -- which became quite time consuming when attempting to email or use social networks. The owner, Luigi, is very nice and greets you upon arriving to Zero6. Luigi is not at the guest house during the day and with the sporadic Wifi it was difficult to connect with him (we tried to text his phone but with no luck). The room was efficient and it was cleaned daily. The towels were replaced on the 3rd day of our stay. The location of the hotel is great. We travelled with 2 young children and we were able to walk everywhere (Vatican - 10 min, Piazza Popolo - 25 minutes, Spanish Steps - 35 minutes, Campo De Fiori/Piazza Navona - 35 minutes). The Ottaviano Metro is very near but we enjoyed being above ground. There is a great little pastry shop on Via Barletta (1.5 blocks from Metro) that is in the basement of a buidling. It is open 24 hours 7 days a week and they had great pastries for only 30 - 60 cents. These would have been great instead of the pre-packaged pasteries at the guest house. We had a wonderful time in Rome and our stay at Zero6 was good.

Zero6 is a surely the choice of staying in Rome. 5 mins to the closet metro and 10mins to the Vatican City. The owner, Luigi is super helpful and nice to us. Very patient to tell us about where and how to go to the place in Rome, even help us printing the train tickets. Wifi is stable and fast. The room are clean and large. I can say it is the best hotel among the 3 hotels we chose in our trip to Italy.

Luigi was so helpful and nice

My husband and me just came back from Zero6 2 days back, we got to rome very late in the night around 10.00 . Luigi was patient to wait for us and as soon as we reached he helped us with all we could do for next 3 days. gave us maps pointed directions spots on the map. We even had dinner at his restaurant the next day , his mom cooks the meals they were good too. Very nice experience. Luigi had even emailed us before telling us information of what we could see and how we could plan our time in italy for florence and pisa. This place is 5 min walk from ottaviano train station and extremely convenient for vatican museums. Thanks Luigi for making our trip so memorable.

Fabulous!

Posted Oct 2, 2012
Pros: Tea/Coffee facilities, location, Luigi!
Cons: A little lacking in character and quite dark.
Location: Great for the Vatican city and metro.
Zero 6 was a great place to stay in Rome, around the corner from St Peters and the Vatican city. The metro station also just around the corner.. and the metro very easy to negotiate, ticket prices are cheap too! Luigi was fantastic.. very helpful and gave us numerous helpful hints. A little tricky to find as the road is quite a long one, but useful to know that on one side of the street the numbers of property goes up, but on the other they go down! :o) The bonus of having tea and coffee making facilities and brioche was a joy, as most European hotels etc do not have this luxury! A fabulous place and we would definitely recommend it!

A very good place to stay in Rome

Posted Jun 27, 2011
The location was excellent. The place is very close to the Vatican and walking distance to Piazza Navona. The rest of Rome is very accessible because it is close to Metro stations and bus stops. There are several mini grocery stores and restaurant near by. The place is clean. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Coffee and tea available anytime you want. Croissant/pastries are also available, as well as free Wi-Fi. Thanks to Luigi, the owner/manager who was very efficient in responding to questions. He made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. He was very helpful giving us directions and booking taxis when we need them. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this place to stay in Rome.
