My wife and I stayed here for the first night of our recent trip through the Andalucia region. Ronda ended up being a decent jumping-off point for the trip because of its relative proximity to the airport in Malaga and the historic feel.
The Hotel Maestranza provided a decent room and good location for this first night. Being very close to the beautiful gorge and plaza de toros in the city center was very helpful. If you have a car, the parking lot is the tightest ramp I have ever driven in, with some turns requiring > 5 moves. Note that the rental car location did give us a medium-sized SUV though (after we requested a hatchback), which made things difficult here. The condition of the ramp posts suggested that others struggled more than me though.
Staff were helpful, although a bit curt and not terribly welcoming. A 3 might be a little harsh though, as staff did answer all questions and help. In the room, the sleeping area was very minimal but adequate for our one-night stay. The bed was decently comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Not as much charm in the rooms as other small hotels or what you might expect based on the halls and lobby.
We were able to leave the car in the lot after checking out for a few hours while we went to the museum and walked around for a little while.

First thing it to note that you need to take the road from Ronda to Seville and then turn right at the 26km sign and then follow the signs to the hotel. Sat nav will take you on the 'scenic route'! Reception closes at midnight so let them know if you will be late. Check the phone number, the one we got off Expedia wasn't answered.
It was like waking up in paradise. Beautiful buildings and gardens await you and the surroundings are idyllic. We had a junior suite and it was comfortable and so quiet and dark we nearly slept through breakfast! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely.
The location means that it is a 10 minute drive into Ronda (follow central parking signs), 1.5 hours to Marbella down the winding mountain roads and 2 hours to Seville.
We were sad to leave and want to take the hotel with us everywhere we go! :o)

Older, more traditional hotel located in the BEST location in Ronda! Hotel Don Miguel clings to the chasm separating the new town from the older Moorish environs. Full of history, great leather shops, fantastic tapas and restaurants, and with lots of places to walk and explore. The Hotel Don Miguel has air-conditioned rooms, spectacular views, a great tapas/snack bar and bar, and a very good breakfast buffet. Secure parking is available only 50 meters from the hotel entrance---and the reception staff will park your car in the car park for you! One of the most spectacular views (from rooms and the terrace bar) in Andalucía!

The owner / manager was very welcoming and accommodating. We arrived early but there was no problem checking in early as the room was ready for us. Breakfast was included and delivered to our room at the time requested. Breakfast was very good and consisted of a variety of cheese, meat, breads and fruits. One of the best breakfasts we enjoyed on our whole vacation. We only had one night in Ronda and I would definitely stay at Hotel Ronda again because of the friendly atmosphere and helpful tips for seeing the old town's highlights. The owner / manager also speaks English very well which helped us as our Spanish is non existent.

I had 2 days in Ronda. The hotel was on a side street but very near to the central part of the town. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. I would definitely recommend it as good value for money.

Set 35 kilometres inland, Ronda is a very picturesque, typical Andalusian town popular with Costa del Sol day trippers. Its emblematic feature is its bridge, spanning a vertiginous 150-metre deep gorge that dramatically bisects Ronda. There are plenty of historic visitor attractions including Spain’s oldest bullring (with museum), Arab baths, and a fine palace. Close by are a number of charming /ipueblos blancos/i (white villages), including Grazalema and Gaucín.
