“Unexpected Treat”
We were impressed with this motel. The building was modern and well maintained. The staff was cheerful and helpful. Our room was comfortable, well furnished and clean. We had free wifi, a refrigerator but no microwave or safe. The included breakfast was exceptional, including not only the usual breads, cereals, juices and the like, but also scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cinnamon rolls, and an automatic hotcake machine (I'd never seen one either, but it was slick). Minor negatives: Our bathroom was quite clean but we noticed the tile floor hadn't been mopped clear to the edges, leaving hair and lint in the corners. The area is freeway frontage, next to a truck stop, though that caused no problem for us, and the Canyonville mountain setting more than offset those. We recommend this stop, and will go there again.
“The Room Smelled Bad”
The hotel was basically fine, but the room smelled really strongly of some kind of carpet cleaning agent that gave us both headaches : (
“Economically adequate”
This hotel is not in a tourist area, so it is a location of necessity or convenience. It could be a halfway stop between CA and WA. It is right next to a large truck stop and RV park and near a Indian casino. This could be convenient for a variety of reason. Even though in a busy traffic area, it was quiet.
“I've stayed there hree times and there will be more.”
This is a very nice and convenient motel--right on I-5 going south--directly across from the 7 Feathers Casino. After having stayed at various motels in the area, I discovered this one and have stayed there 3 times now. I wouldn't consider staying at any other motel in this area. They have the best free breakfast I've ever seen. The staff is very friendly and eager to be of assistance, if needed.
