Didn't realize it was a pet friendly hotel

Pros: Room was clean, beds comfortable, plenty of parking & easy access
There was a dog show in Roseburg that weekend and a number of dogs & dog owners staying at the hotel. I ended up taking the stairs a number of times because the elevator was filled with dogs & their owners. I also was awakened by barking in the early morning. I chose not to stay a second night.

clean and friendly

Pros: The employees were cheerful and helpful. Breakfast and coffee were appreciated!
Cons: The pool was the reason we came a day early.
Location: Food was great at Shari's; plenty of restaurants and places to go in the area without being in the middle of a city. It was rather quiet.
Pool was too cold, hot tub was too hot, but the staff explained they had been doing repairs. Overall a pleasant experience.

Noise

All we heard all night was couple next door arguing. Others must have heard it. No staff came near to tell themn to keep the noise down. The pohones were not working in the rooms due to a fault

It was ok for the money.

Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: I'd like the rooms to be cleaner.
Location: It's just off of I-5 and very easy to get to from the freeway.
The chair and the bedspread were quite dirty and that left me a bit concerned about the overall cleanliness of my room although the rest of the room appeared clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was ok if you like carbs. I wish they'd offered some cream cheese and/or peanut butter to get a bit of protein in the breakfast.

Clogged drains

I have stayed at this place 3 times. Two out of three times the tub drain has been clogged. While taking a shower the tub drain backs up and I was standing in funk. Sure they can move you to another room but I will not be staying here again. Do some maintenance for crying out loud. The manager said the maids don't check the drains only spray the tubs. Yuk.

Melrose Vineyards Wine Stomp!

Pros: Convenience and price was good.
Cons: The bathroom sink didn't drain well (gross!) Room 207
Location: Right off Hwy 5, close to town AND the wineries!
We came up to enjoy a wine stomp in which we did - the Super 8 was Super convenient too!

O.K. hotel, but.

Pros: there was RV parking available.
Cons: more effort to accommodate our needs for a working toilet.
Booked this hotel at the last minute. It is a decent place but the price is a little high. The toilet in our room did not flush properly. Instead of changing rooms, we dealt with the slow flushing toilet until the morning. at that time we asked to use the handicapped restroom on our floor but the keys did not work so the staff told us to use the swimming pool toilet which was always being used and did not have enough toilet paper. we were not happy about the situation.

Pros: good rooms, nice pool and spa. good breakfast, easy to find coming from freeway.
Location: downtown is near by.

Pros: I liked the cleanliness and the brightness of the hotel. You feel safe as the parking lot is well lit and the surrounding area is also safe.
Cons: The pool is small and got quite crowed with we were there on a weekend and there was a lots of kids in the pool. Otherwise, not much to suggest.
Location: The motel is right off the highway. There are a number of eating places close by. Good base location for going to Crater Lake National Park.
The building is fairly new and the rooms are more a hotel format where the rooms are accessed from inside the building. I don't like the older motel format where you have a room that faces the parking lot and the room is directly accessed from the outside. We arrived around 8 pm after driving all day. The staff was quick, and efficient in checking us in. We wanted a coffee after the long drive and the check-in lady made us a fresh pot of coffee and even offered us cake that was left over from a staff meeting they had earlier. She also suggested a few eating places that might still be open as many places were starting to close up for the evening. The motel is located a close drive to several fast food places. The room was clean and comfortable. The motel is also right off the highway so there is no problem finding the motel.
