5 minutes walk outside the wallPosted Oct 2, 2013
We booked this the day before we were planning to arrive at Rothenberg. It was very well priced and as we were traling around Europe with a car, we needed to be outside the wall for parking purposes. We were a bit disappointed that we could not park on site as there were only 7 car spaces available and there was a bus arriving on the first night o our stay that would be along up two of those spots. The train station is directly opposite the hotel so we parked there. There was an issue checking in before 8pm, and as I didn't have an international mobile phone were had to ask another hotel to call and advise we were running late. The number on the Expedia confirmation was wrong and it took about an hour trying to get the correct number to call only for te lady at te desk to tell us that we could check in whenever as there is always someone at the desk. Somehow we got the 'pent-house' suite which was large and very comfy. You have to pay for wifi which is a shame, but there is a Burger King open until 11pm most nights with free wifi so we did that. I'd recommend this hotel to others. A good stay, just outside the wall.

Good hotel right in front of the train stationPosted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice hotel, right across the street from the (really small) train station at Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The station surroundings are modern and clean, unlike most German cities. So it is a good location. It is a five minutes walk to the old city, passing through a modern, clean and safe neighborhood. The room provided to me was very spacious and clean, although I believe I was given an upgrade. The staff was friendly. The reception is not open 24 hours.
across from train stationPosted May 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
Staff were very busy but otherwise helpful and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable with a table and chairs in one corner. Being an old hotel the rooms were not soundproof but after walking to and from the old city for hours sleek was not a problem. Hotel across from train station and a 10 minute walk to the gates of the walled city. Breakfast was included in price.

Rothenburg outside the wallPosted May 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
When we first arrived we thought we were going to have a great stay. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. We were in a room on the top floor of the building and so had lots of windows and the room was large. They helped with my mother's luggage which I didn't know hotels did any longer. They also had a really nice breakfast and were close to the city center. The issue was with the information regarding internet. They had a flyer in the room that stated they had a computer terminal that you could use for free, but when I asked to use it they said I had to buy time and use wifi. Which was fine, but then it didn't work (their system was down) and when I tried to get my money back they made me stand around and wait. They were trying to get the system up and running which is fine, but since it was the end of a very long day, all I wanted was my money back so that I could return to my room and relax. We were also never able to eat in their restaurant because they stop seating people at 8. There is a very nice little hotel down the street, with a restaurant that was recommended and was very good.

single traveler for one nightPosted Sep 28, 2011 on Hotels.com
I stayed here one night, and it was a really nice room. 5 minutes walk to Rothenburg town walls, and across the street from the train station. It was a little noisy during the day since my room faced the road, but the train station is very small, so I never heard a train. the room was very nice, and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly, and helped me when I needed it. /i was not in the room too much, but I did enjoy the room. It was bigger than a normal European room, and besides the little noise during the day it was fine. I was so tired I never heard anything the whole night.
