Easy to find hotelPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: The location and price.
Cons: Probably needs a good overhaul, but that would be very costly as it is a big hotel.
Location: On the main strip so easy to find everything.
This hotel is on the main strip in Rotorua. The rooms are set out in a bit of a labryth so its easy to get lost. Obviously quite old and a bit shaggy around the edges but the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our twin room was very large and comfortable. Plenty of pillows and comfy beds. Room service meal was lovely and fast. Will stay there again.

Can't beat it for the start of a bike racePosted Apr 6, 2014
Even though the elevators were non operational the stairwells were large enough for up and down guests to pass comfortably

ComfortPosted Jan 18, 2014
Cons: Air conditioning and checking power points etc.
Location: Saw geyser but missed Tamaki Village shows as did not see anything in important list of when timings were. Hotel could advise clients.
No air conditioning For overseas guests - this was very uncomfortable having to have windows open when not use to sulphur etc. No mention was made on booking. No hair dryer in one room and the powerpoint did not work for their personal dryer. Would not recommend to friends and family in USA.

Not at all recommendedPosted Jan 13, 2014
Cons: Overall experience for a guest
Booked two rooms, Both were allocated far away from each other even though they were in same name with adjoining request. Upon arrival the Duty Manager looked unhappy but the receptionist Rui was the only person smiling at all times. Rooms are very tired, carpet coming off, mattress uncomfortable, bed was not made as per hotel standards (not even close to 3 star) of 4 and half star capacity. On top of that, there was a big cockroach spotted at the back of the LCD TV, upon mentioning this to the Duty Manager at check out, Defensive comment was made "such cockroach do not live in the hotel, must have come from outside". there are quite a few areas to develop.

Looks so good in pictures, but it is really old. The carpet may be from long long ago. We wont stay again.
