Family of 5, Stayed 1 night unit 4, 2 bedrooms and sofa bed in lounge. Polite staff. Dated kitchenette and bathroom - constant leak from bath that manager not able to resolve. Location was fine for what we needed.
Think $290/night could have got better facility and value elsewhere
The accommodation is basic but all you need. A well equipped kitchen and plenty of room-two bwdrooms with a decent sized lounge. Well located and great value for money.
You had 2 portable heaters no heat pump. Power kept teipping out when yiu ran bohj heaters you had to go down stairs to wash in the cold damp bathroom.
Your room key accesses another room so your property wasn't safe. The bath leaked tge water out as the plug provided was the wrong one. Cleanliness was lacking sink was marked not seen bleaching for quite sometime and carpet needed a vacuuming..
You had to park in your allocated space even though the csr psrk was to small for larger cars.
The service at the front desk was good and the staff were very friendly. The bedroom itself was okay but the bathroom and toilet was stained and dirty. Unfortunately because of that I would not stay there again.

OK value for money but not outstanding
The motel room was large and the bed fine. The upstairs room was large but the steps to get included a narrow landing. The car parking was very tight. If there had been a couple of twin cabs we would have been in trouble. The room was not air conditioned and quite hot on the February night we stayed there.Overall the motel is a bit tired but ok value for money.
Good sized rooms, nice and clean. Staff were very good and helpful.
Bathroom needs some renovating.

An older property. More of a 2 star place. Needs A/C, or at least fly screens on windows. Upstairs extremely hot & stuffy on hot nights. Got sick from having the fan on at night. Location next door to geyser is good, though smell can be intense initially (you get used to it). Parking is awkward. Communal laundry. Pleasant staff.
Two-level motel - my grandsons had the bedroom on the ground floor and I had my bedroom up top - where the kitchen and TV was. (haha).
The main bedroom has a small en-suite - nice not having to go downstairs to use the toilet at night! Very well-located at the end of Fenton St and so close to the restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.
Adequate for our needs considering the good price. Very near the geyser, walking distance to Maori village. Town centre is a short drive away. Some stains and a bit of paint peeling off, but otherwise clean. Kids enjoyed the free Netflix though WiFi was not too consistent.
Nice greeting, very very tired and old , could do with a big paint job , jandles found under the beds , ( not ours ) old style heating , bathroom tired and old , cracks in the walls , we stayed in unit 8 , so upstairs downstairs. Shame really if it was clean and updated it would be nice . Until it’s redone I wouldn’t recommend it.
Excellent rooms good undercover parking only spoilt by noisey netbasll team up at 5 am yelling & screaming at each other till after 8pm at nite should have consideration for others using motel
Excellent place for the price. The check is is so easy. The property is old but very clean. We were very comfortable. The view of the geyser is great ;)
Parking is abit hard because of the small place, but we have seen a few motels like this in NZ so that’s not a problem.
We enjoyed a nice stay at the Lodge ,just the uncertainty of of the level of service regarding the bed making , we were not sure whether the beds would be made as most venues did, Overall a good stay . we think the company we booked the sites we stayed at should make it clear what the services are .
Booked 2 bedroom suite but got family room which was disappointing, I didn't like the photos of that room online and even more in person. Weird energy / vibe soon as we walked in.No stovetop or oven which is why I booked the 2 bedroom suite in the first place so could cook for my kids as it was noted in the room facilities. The floor creaked from bathroom to kitchen when walked on. At night it just creaked by itself. Saw weird things in the bathroom mirrors. It was the worst at night - always heard noises around the room and footsteps on the stairs and upstairs when no one was there. Always felt like people were in the room with us or around us. Our kids randomly sat up sleeping while they were sleeping which they never do. Went out at night to avoid sleeping early in the room. Stayed out all day & up late to get so tired so we could sleep through without waking. Our kids were too scared to sleep upstairs so we all slept in lounge. Our last night partner sat up & watched over us. All of us were seeing and hearing strange things that freaked us out. I wanted to make a complaint as soon as we arrived but my partner didn't want to cause a fuss since staff were so nice. It was just creepy and didn't like the energy and couldn't wait to get out of the room. Packed up night before. The place itself is nice and the staff were lovely. Pohutu Geyser at the back was cool. Might stay again but in another room. Too many creepy things were happening that we couldn't understand or explain
Accommodation was lovely, the rooms were massive and it was so close to the geyser that you could just walk up a small hill and see it at your leisure. Staff was friendly and if you check in with them about the activities you are planning they have some discounts to give out.
A very large 1 bedroom suite with a spa tub and shower. Reception was very friendly. This time of year didn't require the air conditioning, so the climate was fine when the windows were open. Close to the highway, so you have to deal with a bit of road noise with the windows open, but it wasn't a bother. Parking a vehicle without a backup camera requires a bit of manual dexterity, but manageable . On the edge of Rotorua, but within 10-15 minutes driving distance of most of the local flavor. Good one night stay for me.
Great to have master bedroom and living areas upstairs away from the kids downstairs. Great value for money and nice amount of space set out well. Great view of the geyser out the back too
Management were very helpful leaving instructions where to find key as we arrived very late in the evening.
Car parking outside of each unit is suited for small cars, so don’t try and park big cars like we did, you’ll get boxed in.
