Pros: The staff member on Friday night was lovely.
Cons: The rooms need some attention, paint, new net curtain as they were mouldy & smelt bad when I went to look out the window.
Location: ROTORUA is a great place to go with family or as a couple, it has great eating places, mini golf, luge, animal parks etc..
This place is slightly run down but it was cheap per night so I can't really complain to much, it could look great with a little bit of love & hard work put in to it. Staff were great, bed was terrible to sleep on.

Very disappointingPosted Feb 26, 2014
On arrival we were told how the hotel was having renovations etc and would be all done in 12mths. Our room was very disapointing it smelt musty we only had 2 towels for 4 people no kitchen linen the place was filthy the curtian in the kitchen was covered in food we had no cooking facillities no where to put our luggaue in our room our sheets had holes in them when we discovered this it was late and we went to ring recepection and we had no phone in our room the carpert felt wet in places it is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. There was no spa, gym or reasturant as advertised no mini bar The outside grounds were run down a tennis court with no nett the barbques didnt work thank goodness it was only for 1 night on checkout when we complained John just smiled and said sorry next time we give you a new unit do come back. :(

Pros: Conveniant location for us to stay.
It was a pleasant place for us to look after our grandchildren while mother attended a funeral.

Room 14Posted Feb 16, 2014
Cons: They need to have a knowlegeable and friendly front desk person. Also the room could do with a spruce up, the tap in the bthrm was old and dirty.
When we arrived we were in a slight rush as we were going to the Rugby. The lady who checked us in was not at all very pleasant, and couldn't even tell us where the Rotorua International Stadium was. My partner asked her if there was anybody else there who might know, and she pretty much ignored him. Then she asked me for my credit card, I gave it to here and she was about to swipe it - I told her I had already paid, she had to scan the form and then agreed that yes I had paid but I was to write my CC number down for security purposes. I don't believe there should be anyone behind a counter in NZ's tourist mecca that cannot give directions to a stadium - unnacceptable. Admittedly, when we checked out, I handed my key back to a nicer yound lady in the morning.

Just what we needed for our family holiday!Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Hotel was fine for what we paid but definitely needs improvements to make it outstanding. Gym/spa could have been working but ok.
Cons: Mini golf, bbq area, pool, showers, touch up of paint/wall paper for sure.
Location: Location was good, not too far..We went to the Whakarewarewa village, blue lakes, restaurants...nice for a walk in the morning.
Experience was great especially with the family...awesome but just a little over priced in some areas.

Pros: nothing really
Cons: arrival greating = staff were rude, hostile and argumentative
Location: great location = a million and one things to do in area
looks okay from the road, but the motel is quite gruby and staff are rude and abrupt. definitely wont be staying again or recommending to anyone else. much better accommodation down the road.
