Hotel stay before a CruisePosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Staff, location, & atmosphere
Location: A retired cruise ship in the harbor. Was a great place to see Harbor Day's activities and convenient to catch a cruise ship
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will stay here again the next time I am in this city

An experience!Posted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Clean, nice staff, good food, interesting venue and history, nice room
Location: You can go by boat into Rotterdam city where there is lots of funky architecture and stuff to see. We enjoyed walking around, a drink on a boat cafe
We visited Rotterdam part of a trip across the Netherlands and stayed one night. It was an amazing place! Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room which was welcome after tons of walking that day and travel. It was a bit out of the centre but we found it ok and it was visible for ages before we actually got there! Breakfast buffet was superb. Lots of choice and refills of coffee. A tour of the ship is a must if you stay here. It was very interesting. I loved all the 1950s decor and history and my hubby liked the engine room and seeing the captains area etc.. Definitely a great place to stay and worth it if you like slightly quirky accommodation.

Interesting Hotel. Nicely presented.Posted Aug 20, 2013
Plenty of space in good (superior) rooms (2 portholes). Public areas full of character. Transport to centre needs a little planning - but hotel Tuk Tuk is excellent! Water Taxi great fun as well. Good value.

Ss rotterdamPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness of hotel
Cons: Restaurant staff
Location: Expensive to get to and from on average €15 each way
Restaurant and waiting staff very poor and very miserable, we had meals we did not pay for because after askingmformthe bill 4/5 times we just left, service is slow and the cost of the food is too expensive for what it is. €13 for a salad. Beds are memory foam, to soft for our liking, paper cups in room, not 4 Star quality.

Wonderful experience ;-)Posted Jul 21, 2013
What a fab experience on the SS Rotterdam. Great location, very close to all means of transport. Easy walk to metro station and if you didn't want to walk, a free shuttle service was provided. Staff were extremely helpful and went out there way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We enjoyed the stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We were told when booking in that the voucher for breakfast was for the room at Euro 19. When we checked out they charged £uro 19 for each person and that certainly was not acceptable. If we had know that in advance we would not have had breakfast at the hotel as we onlyhad orange juice and cereal. The shuttle bus did not 'run' all day and finished at 7pm rather early when you go out in the evening. The shuttle car also only takes 6 people and certainly not enough seats when the hotel is busy, which it was.The train is 1.8 km away so a fair walk. There is a local bus which help to get home late at night. Having said that, if you know all that in advance it makes the stay more enjoyable.
