The hotel was charming! The hotel is tranquil and provides a great place for rest and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and unique, and it was so nice to spend the evening/morning enjoying the patio off our cabin and roaming the hotels beautiful gardens. We also enjoyed the hotel's restaurant and store -- we were able to purchase a few jams that were made from produce they had grown on site. Definitely a great place to stay and enjoy.

Lovely hotel and restaurantPosted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
I use this hotel a lot. The tower rooms are the best, I would say. All different and all interesting. Fabulous and popular restaurant. Free wifi. The hotel is in the vegetable gardens for the restaurant. About a 20 minute walk from Dordrecht station (or take a bus).

very unique...incredibly gardens, farm fresh foodPosted Feb 25, 2013
Our trip to Villa Augustus was in the dead of winter, but the gardens were still incredibly lovely to view both from our room way up high in the water tower, and also to stroll through. The water tower rooms were quite unique, although the bathroom down a flight of steps would not be suitable for anyone not steady on their feet. Memorable though! The food was really top notch, and reflected a focus on farm fresh from the gardens. Overall a lovely experience, and plan to stay there again as we will be back in that area. Staff very friendly, young and professional.

Great hotelPosted Jun 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is a gem well located in Doordrect. It is not a far drive to any of the major sights in Northern Netherlands. The rooms are very modern and comfortable, surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens. We had the family room which has king size bunk beds. That's right, I said king size bunk beds. Not only the kids loved it, but I did. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Converted Water Tower and Pump House and GardensPosted May 6, 2012
Pros: The Garden, the Restaurant
Location: In walking distance to town and Wantij Park
We had Rembrandt skies every day! Our room on the ground floor was neat and clean, a very comfortable queen bed, comfortable pillows and down duvet. The decorations were prints by Dutch artists. The room had plantation shutters which did an adequate job of keeping out the light. They could be opened to let in a little light or opened to let in lots of light. The bathroom and shower were modern and clean. Our room opened onto a small outdoor patio where we sat to have coffee. Best of all was the large market garden between the hotel (a converted water tower) and the restaurant (a converted pump house). The season was just beginning, but there was lettuce in the cold frame and tulips and other perennials were in bloom. Friendly and helpful staff.
