My family arrived at the hotel around 1pm. I asked if possible to check in earlier. I was told the room was not ready. We waited patiently and I went back to the reception to check whether the room might be ready around 2:45pm. The receptionist first said she was not supposed to answer my question as the standard checkin time was 3pm. When I insisted she checked again, she questioned my nationality. I requested to talk to a manager and complained about my experience. The manager said it was their standard procedure to ask about my nationality before checking the room availability. We finally checked in at 3:20pm. The first thing my son found near his bad was a pair of used underwear. The room is tiny. There is nothing except for 3 single beds. I will definitely not be staying at this hotel in the future. The hotel staff do not respect the guests and there is 0 service. You definitely don’t want to see other people’s underwear in the room. Our family vacation in Finland was still a memorable one except for the terrible experience at this hotel.

Hotel was ok for what we needed and very centrally located to centre. Pool was freezing, hence I dipped a toe and came out…quiet as people don’t stay in long. tea/coffee in room never replenished. Breakfast was good and plenty to choose from. Price reflects the season

Loved the newly renovated section , parking is close , no payment , nice room and bathroom was excellent quality … breakfast was great selection and quality … just it was a bit expensive for the overall hotel and no baggage service or help was difficult with 3 kids, snow and small elevators .

Highly recommended
Fabulous stay for a family of 4, the hotel is ideally located and has all the facilities that we needed. The breakfast was included and was delicious with plenty of choice. The room was large for a family of 4 and the kids loved the bunk beds. It was quiet and had a beautiful view of the river. I would highly recommend this hotel

My first time Traveling alone and I found the Perfect place to do it! This Hotel has been amazing and the Staff were so very helpful when I asked about the City and Busses, I want to give a special shout out to Juuli at the reception! Over all I had a lovely stay and plan to come back next year!

excellent location, close to restaurants and shopping. nice and clean though dated/older hotel. probably a 2-3 star but still good. bathroom shower could have been better. room was adequate and clean. sauna and swimming pool good. breakfast was excellent and staff good. view from restaurant looked into frozen river was very good.

Finland's biggest river close by c 50 meters , of cause it was frozen this time of year . . . other scenic nature , in the newer part of the hotel , the corridor carpets emanated stuffy smell of which I told at reception , they said they know about it and are looking to solve the issue . . .

So disappointed to end a super trip to Lapland here. Swimming pool was so cold we couldn’t enjoy it. Room didn’t look like any of the pictures!! Tired hotel with frustrating lifts. No kettle or facility in room, minibar warm, tv didn’t work nor comms in room. Felt completely ripped off partying £320 for one night.

Very overcrowded, understaffed and all around poorly maintained. We were checked in late(4pm) after arriving early and spending the day out. Breakfast was poor and overcrowded. Room was never cleaned despite us asking for it. Very bad service levels - after paying 400 euros a night for a basic room.

It’s an older hotel and the family rooms are in a separate building from the main building. But many amenities in the room. But it was clean and very centrally located. It was basic but worked fine for our family.

Cosy in a fantastic location
The hotel was located perfectly for our stay. High floor river view for NYE. Surrounded by lots of restaurants bars and two big shopping complexes. Our biggest regret was booking a meal for NYE in the hotel at a cost of €70 pp! This was absolutely not worth the cost. It was buffet style, limited food options with no table service or entertainment. Very disappointed. Breakfast was was satisfactory. The hotel is just slightly dated inside and in need of some renovation. Two things for us were the fire pit around the pool area not being on. No ambient music and the sauna only being available 1700 til 2200. We would also of appreciated our balcony being cleared of snow so that we could of used it fully.

We enjoyed our stay. The room wasn’t what the website said when we booked it, but it worked and we had a good stay. We booked a family room where we were supposed to have two single beds, a double bed plus a double sofa bed. We didn’t get the double bed, just the two singles and the sofa bed. Anyhow, the breakfast buffet was amazing. One of the largest selections I have experienced as a free breakfast with the room. There was a bus stop right next to the hotel which made getting to the Santa village, Santa Park, and the airport very easy with Santa Express Bus. The hotel had a sauna and a pool. The water in the pool was too cold for me though. The downtown was a quick easy walk away so the location was very convenient. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located in a great location. The reception were helpful and friendly. It is a good place to stay at Christmas. But book very early for a good rate, probably 4 months or 5 months prior to your trip.

I thought the place was scruffy and the service at breakfast was terrible. Sometimes couldn’t find a place to sit as tables had not been cleared. Best thing about the place was it’s proximity to the Santa express bus

The hotel is quite old. There seem to be a new wing but we stayed on the old wing. The View was very beautiful though especially the trees with snow and the bridge. Food was not so great (breakfast). Overall a comfortable stay and walking distance to the city centre and there was a tourist shop (beside) to arrange for attractions.

The tv didn’t have any English channels. The room was large enough for a family of 4. Coffee amenities were topped up. Good quality soap and shampoo provided. The breakfast selection was excellent. Room was clean and well maintained.
