Great property with the most friendly staff. Breakfast was fantastic beating the breakfast I’ve had in Italy. Great coffee, fresh juice/smoothie and honeycomb for my fresh yogurt. Property is on the ski slop with ski in and ski out. Only downside is restaurant is closed for lunch, the cafe had a few snack options but no other food restaurants near by and there is no elevator. A small handicap/luggage elevator would do wonders. Probably my best stay on my 3 week trip to Europe.

Beautiful hotel in a great location
This is a lovely hotel that was cosy, clean and comfortable. The private sauna in room was great and had a beautiful view over the forest. The location is secluded but still easy to walk into town through the forest path. The staff were super helpful and even provided a breakfast box when I had an early start. The only slight downside was the bed and pillows are very soft so something to be aware of if you like things firm like me.

It's a magical setting ! Wonderful room with sauna and great view . I did not want to leave after spending a week there. Nice 1 hour walk to Rovaniemi , thru the forest .

Unbelievable situation
A few days before the trip the hotel sent us a message that they are fully booked and don’t have a room for us. They said they had a system error. We booked this hotel 2 months before the trip.

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel especially the in-room sauna! Extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially, Tara, who went out of her way to help with everything! Location is quiet and serene however far from attractions. Expect to pay 25-35 euros for taxis to Santa’s village and the airport. Will definitely be back.

We had a perfect stay in Ounasvaara. We had the room with sauna and the room was perfect for us! Beautiful forest view and room design was atmospheric. I would highly recommend the hotel with its location. A fireplace in the hotel lobby was also a nice add to the lappish experience.

Great hotel! We had a private sauna in our room, everything was great and service good. Ski center is just around the hotel and the restaurant and food amazing.

Very nice hotel!
Very nice newly remodeled hotel. Staff at check in was friendly, the room was really nice and the restaurant was fantastic. Definitely stay here again.

I liked the view and the ski slope I didn t like that the room service is charged for 15 Euros and that there is no elevator or a concierge to help with the luggage

perfect get away
Absolutely perfect. The hotel and room was in a perfect condition. Also clean and appeared newly refurbished And with our own sauna in the room. Just perfect. The hotel is situated perfectly for nice walks in the Forrest as well as skiing. The lift is located 50 meters from the hotel. Staff overall very friendly. Food perfect. We also enjoyed 5 course surprise dinner with wine menu. Absolutely perfect in Michelin class. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the aurora from the hotels roof balcony. Can only recommend this hotel. 5 star

We love this hotel
It was great. Beautiful standard room. Breakfast deluciuos with GF option for my child. The view from the roof to the Nothern lights was amazing. It is on top of the mountain and the walking trails are beautiful

Holiday in Lapland
We enjoyed the hotel very much. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent. We wish they were larger for our family of 4. But we were comfortable with 2 rooms (one adult one child per room)- but sad not to be together in one room. We got a room with a sauna in it. Which was fanstastic.

Had a wonderful stay for a honeymoon. Room was great, and loved the bonus of having a sauna in the room. Great stay, would definitely recommend to others.

The hotel was very nice and rooms modern and cozy. Location was superb whether you go for skiing, visiting the Santa or strolling around the city itself. The surroundings of the hotel amazing as well. Breakfast good. So in general I would really recommend the hotel as you get a nice experience. If there is something to nag about, then from the pictures it shows as all the rooms also have a sauna, which is not true. However, something I was kind of hoping to have. Also, our room, 135, was quite cold and the heating system just couldnt warm up the room. The room was lacking of dust bins - only one bin in the restroom, and no bins in the bedroom nor bathroom. Bathrobes and slippers would have been much appreciated - bathrobe good for going to the hotel sauna or after taking a bath.

1N at Ounasvaara
The room has floor-to-ceiling window with a nice view of the national park. Also the hotel has a roof terrace perfect for viewing the northern lights (although we weren't lucky enough to see any). Food at the hotel was unique and innovative, making use of Finnish ingredients. The hotel is located around 10 mins drive away from the city centre - only accessible by cab..something to consider if you're travelling by car. Regardless, the cab fare is around 12 - 15 euros one way. Not that pricey.

Tired but magical location
This hotel is nestled amongst the woods - great ski lodge but very tired. Beds well in need of replacement, bathrooms need an update. breakfast buffet great but dinner buffet Overpriced for the 5 dishes on offer (only fish fingers and chips or pasta for kids all of which were cold). Dessert bar included two types of cake and ice cream.

Top Hotel on Mountaintop
This is a winter ski hotel about 4 km from town. You'll want a car to tour the area. Exfremely nice staff and large rooms. Great in-room sauna in addition to common sauna on each floor. Gourmet restaurant serving Finnish specialties. Nice hiking and biking trails in summer.

Great after cold day activities
Heated floors??? Friendly staff?? (See Maria she is an absolute wonder! - at the front desk). The star went above and beyond to help us when we decided to stay an extra day in Lapland. From helping us change our train tickets to getting us checked in early. This place was truly wonderful, and their restaurant was fantastic (we'd tried it the night before). Exceptional service and overall great hotel!

Nice hotel on the top of the hill
This hotel is great if you are driving in Rovaniemi, but it's a bit far if you are not. It's only 10 mins from the downtown Rovaniemi. The best part was the view from the rooftop and you can see the beautiful view of the town from the rooftop

Great view from the rooftop. close to nature.
The location is little far if you are not driving, but if you do, it's a good choice. The rooftop provides you a great view of the whole town. If you are lucky enough, you may see Aurora there.
