“Not Great, but Close to V.B. State Park”
Bottom line - great cheap hotel for hunters or truck drivers wanting only the basics in a clean room. We stayed only one night before a weekend camping trip at Victoria Bryant State Park. We weren't sure whether we were at the correct hotel until we went into the office. They were changing signs from Ramada to Knights Inn and no signs were up. The manager was friendly enough at check in. The hotel seemed clean. Our room had a blown out bulb in one of the lamps and the furniture, cheap particle board stuff covered in vinyl, was falling apart and looked water damaged around the bottoms. The walls had some curling wallpaper and the decor was "late 80's" at best. The air conditioning unit was very old, but it was cool enough to not use it. Basic 27" TV, nothing fancy. The beds were tolerable but more pillows in the room would have been appreciated. We were able to take our 30lb. dog, for a non-refundable $25. Plenty of hot water and the shower wasn't too bad. The continental breakfast was a joke - stale pastries and weak, cheap coffee. We only camp each park once, so we won't have a need to go back and if we did go back to Royston, I'd try out another hotel first to see if it was any better.
