I loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The staff, atmosphere, room cleanliness and charm of this hotel exceeded expectations. It was close to the Louvre, the river and Notre Dame. The staff were brilliant and so friendly. This is where we ended our 3 week trip through Europe, and after staying in many hotels, I have to say this was my favorite. Their communication with us before we left Australia was always prompt and very helpful. They organized our hotel transfers to the airport with no problems at all. I have only good things top say about this place. It is a real hidden gem :-)

This hotel was perfect. It was in the best location in a beautiful neighborhood right by major attractions and the Metro. The hotel is also beautiful and very secure. The door locks at night (the desk is staffed 24 hours) and you leave your key with the hotel staff when you leave. My room was perfect. It was very clean and comfortable with a nice closet, a safe, a hair dryer, a robe and slippers and an iron. The bathroom was lovely. My room was facing away from the street and I had my window open every night all night long and never heard a sound from inside the hotel or outside the hotel. The hotel is decorated beautifully as well. The room has a fully stocked mini bar with a little extra space in the refrigerator for left overs or bottled water. The wifi was great. The best of any hotel I've been in and I travel a lot. The hotel staff was pleasant and very, very helpful. They serve breakfast which looked good. It looked like an American breakfast but since I was in Paris I opted for a French breakfast. There are many cafes and patisseries nearby so that was not a problem. They also have a computer to use if you need to print something. The staff will also print something for you if you email it to them. The only thing better would be a 5-star hotel, but it wouldn't be worth the price for the amount of time you actually spend in the room in Paris! Oh, and the bed was super comfortable! I actually looked forward to it each night after my long days!

Lovely, modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom was beautiful and everything worked perfectly. We had a triple room. Very quiet with adequate space. Loved the huge windows and the lighting. Anything we asked for we got with a smile. The hotel is easy to find and is in a fantastic location with great cafés and restaurants and shops. Only a short walk from the metro station, which is on the main number 1 line (same as champs élysées, louvre, Tuileries gardens as well as one of the main stations, Chatelet which connects to Charles de Gaulle. I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Great location, pleasant staff, small but typical"
Great location and extremely pleasant staff. We felt welcome the moment we set foot in. Because it is quite small the staff recognized us before we said anything. No registration, waiting or credit card/ID needed. Walked in, here is your key!
The room is quite small but clean and modern. The small size is to be expected in the heart of Paris.

Room was fantastic, modern, clean and spacious. Great location, next to the Hotel de Ville and close to Notre Dame ideal for exploring the city. Great brasseries nearby. We had a fantastic time. Only shame was that bar was not open when we returned at the ends of the evening.

The Grand Hotel Dechampaigne is a well run boutique hotel. The location is superb - about 2 blocks from the Seine, 1/2 block from Metro Chatelet, maybe 5-6 blocks from Louvre. The room was clean - decor red and gold (!!) - bathroom was big enough (good water pressure). The staff was so friendly and helpful. They arranged a shuttle for us from CDG, however, I had trouble contacting the company for pick up. I called the hotel and they handled everything. The breakfast was great - croissants (reg. and choc.), bread, fruit, apple tart, cereal, juice, cheese, sliced meats, hard-boiled eggs, and yogurt were offered. I always had cafe au lait and my husband had hot tea. The breakfast room was beautifully decorated and staff was attentive. There was also a sitting room with sofas, chairs, and tables next to the breakfast room.
I can't wait to go back!

L'Empire Paris Hotel greatly contributed to making my first trip to Paris wonderful! The room my friends and I stayed in together (5 of us) was just right - including one king bed in the main area & two full pull-out couches in a separate area & the availability to slide over a room separator if we wanted. Each sleeping area had its own flat screen TV. The bathroom was large, with both a bathtub/shower & stand up shower that were separate, a double sink, and a towel warmer. Breakfast was included in the package we purchased, which was great for eating easily before we set out to see the sights. The staff was very accommodating at all times. The location worked very well, with the Lourve and Sein River very close, and the Museum D'Orsay, Notre Dame & the Isle of St. Louis all within a 30 minute walk from the hotel. There are cafés and shopping right in the neighborhood. We arranged shuttles to and from the Charles DeGaulle Airport through the hotel, and they gladly held our bags for us for the few hours between when we checked out on the last day and when our shuttle arrived. I would highly recommend this hotel.
