“Decent Place for a Few Nights”

The room size was adequate and the beds were comfortable. the breakfast was good and the hotel staff helpful. On the downside, the carpet could have used a serious cleaning.

“Picturesque Destination”

You cannot beat the price for this hotel. Located directly in front of Billy the Kid Casino and next to Walmart. No complaints for this hotel. It was quite and peaceful. The bed were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Shower/Toilet clean as well. Excellent channel selection and was able to catch all my favorite football games. Short drive to downtown Ruidoso, like 5mins.

“Best kept secret in the pines”

“Will definitly be back!”

We booked a king, but when got to the room there was 2 queen beds, so went back and they gave us a "suite", w/king. Very pleasant to work with. We'll be back!

“Quaint hotel,convenient location.”

Really enjoyed the location and the landscape of the hotel. Breakfast was perfect. Wish the jacuzzi' s jets were working.

Close to the shopping areas. Why? You can walk to them.

When to go

October if you like the outdoors because it is not too hot. Winter if you like to see snow or the Christmas decor.

Must see

Apache ski slope, Cloudcraft, pistacho farm in Alamogordo and the white sands, and Lincoln park.

“beautiful scenery, close to race track”

staff was friendly, nice continel breakfast, had to go to the lobby for extra towels, hair dryer didn't work.

our purpose was to attend the all-american futurity at race track and motel was across the highway from race track, really convient!

“Do not get fooled by good reviews of this hotel”

Not all the pictures in 'hotel details' really belong to this place, I believe. Room service was terrible, they didn't even empty both trash bins in the room. The coffee maker in the room was out of order. The wireless internet was cutting off every 5-10 minutes. Don't waste your money by staying at this hotel. It is not worth this rate.

“always go back...however”

This is our 4th class reunion there and we use this motel solely because of the courtyard area. It's beautiful, well maintained, and the largest in the village. The courtyard and complementary breakfast are 5 star, however, the rooms/service are never going to be more than 2 star.

Area recommendations

It's a mountain village with horse racing, gambling, golf, art, and a lot of history in the surrounding areas.
