Well located for our needs.Posted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: We have been staying here for several years now ever since my Mom went into Saanich Pennisula Hospital ECU. The rooms are large and comfortable .
Cons: We had difficulty with the heating system and I think there should be a little heat on in the room when we arrive. It was cool .
Location: It is an easy access from the highway and there are restuarants in the building and close by. Sidney is only 6Kms away.
Staff was busy when we arrived but acknowledge us and said they would be with us in a minute. We had a question that the staff answered and offered a suggestion on how they could help.

A nice pet friendly hotelPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: We always like going there whenever we are in the Victoria area. We particularly like the mascot, a friendly Basset Hound and the pictures.
Cons: It would seem picky to suggest anything.
Location: The Pat Bay airport is not far off as is the town of Sidney with the ferry to Sidney Spit. For a birder in winter, this area is tops.
We went there this time to off-load some of the party goers to my sister who was hostessing a family gathering.

Quick overnight tripPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
We checked in late and checked out early as we catching a flight. We were glad to not have stayed longer as it is true there is no air conditioning which would make this room very comfortable but, because we checked in at 1:00 a.m. and out by 5:00 a.m. we didn't experience the heat. Overall the room was clean and a convenient location for us as it is a 5 minute drive to Vic airport. We would stay again if the circumstances were the same but not otherwise.

A good place to crash...Posted Aug 9, 2013
Pros: The name and the mascot, a basset hound!
Location: Some bars in Sydney for night time, the Gardens are to the west, and a *very* good breakfast cafe, 3rd Street Cafe, just north (ask the front desk).
...Really, someone did bump our VW and with the wide parking lot we couldn't understand how, but they fessed up even though we weren't present. Thanks to both vehicles having plastic bumpers and the driver was turning slowly so no damage to claim. She's got enough to worry about bumping her dad's Porsche... It was just a one-night stop-over from a friend's wedding so it was fine. Quiet, too.

Close to Butchart Gardens and pet-friendlyPosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stayed here many years ago, and so kind of knew what the hotel was like. I was not disappointed. Very clean, very comfortable, and our dog was welcome without question. No dog smell, though!! I would definitely book here again anytime I go to Victoria. They have a continental breakfast in the hotel, and this is included in your room price. Very close and convenient to Butchart Gardens.
