“Restaurant Bar and Breakfast”
All those services are closed ! Why ? In addition there isn't any Ice distributor and no fridge "Bar" in the room.
“Home away from home”
Stayed here while looking for a new home. Love the free amenities and hotel staff. The free Wi-Fi was extremely spotty, which was very annoying and inconvenient. Otherwise, great stay.
“Needs more care”
I took a shower with cold water. They need to check and ask customers if everything was fine they didn't ask.
“Not for us”
The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable, but this hotel is way overdue for a remodel. Peeling paint, broken doors, popcorn ceilings, older TVs. We're in our 40's and we stayed on a Saturday night. The hotel is close to many danceclubs and bars and it was very loud until sometime after 2:30 a.m. An inside room facing the pool may have been quieter. So if you want peaceful rest, I would suggest requesting one of those rooms. And the air didn't work. Our room was stuffy and only the heat would come on. We had to open the sliding glass door in order to cool down the room.
“Great value if you're on a budget”
I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at this hotel! I needed a room at the last minute. Although the hotel is a little old (as evidenced by the old elevator and carpeting in the hallways), my room was very clean and obviously refurbished recently. The bed was super comfortable. The morning breakfast was basic but enough to satisfy me. I don't drink coffee but they do serve Starbucks. The two hotel employees I encountered were both very friendly. However, the one I spoke to over the phone when I requested a second floor room, was not. Overall, a great value for the money I spent. My room faced the Governor's Mansion. Nice experience overall.
“Good hotel for the money.”
The hotel was a good one for the rate. Fairly easy to find considering it is downtown. It is also close to the state capital which we walked to one day.
“No airconditioning , Uncomfortable”
The room smelled like urine. The Airconditioning did not work. Did not get satisfactory help from front desk. Will never go back.
“No longer 3 star”
This hotel is getting old. At best it's a 2 star. Problems with the TV mentioned in other reviews experienced. Perhaps it's because they assign certain rooms to the low price Expedia visitors? Who knows? I stayed in Rm. 204 ... avoid if you can. The price was comparable to a Motel 6, so overall I'd recommend - but the "deal" is not as great as you might wish.
“convenient, clean, and cool”
it was a very last minute reservation and we were able to get a room that had a good view and the balcony was sooo charming, it was lined with vines and we over looked the street which was nice to people watch. the room was very clean and the location was GREAT! next to a number of restaurants, a lounge and literally steps from the governors mansion ! i would definetly return!
“Not if I can help it...”
My room reeked of smoke (after having received a long lecture about the charges for smoking in my room) and was FREEZING...guess someone had left AC on full blast at 50 degrees all day. At 2 am, the street noise was so loud due to the clubs getting out, that I couldn't sleep. It was clean enough & convenient, but I probably will not stay here again....
