Pros: Good price. Continental breakfast.
Cons: In room refrigerators are very loud. I prefer carpet instead of the laminate wood floors in the rooms.
Location: Near UC Davis

inexpensive and comfortablePosted Nov 19, 2013
I thought Days Inn was good-- the room was clean. I really liked the painted wood ceiling- and it was generally in great shape and an excellent deal for the price. Close to town and the University and very close to the site I was visiting on business. Super financial deal. The breakfast is merely calories-- but who cares? Davis has breakfast and coffee houses in abundance...

It was all good.Posted Nov 19, 2013
I loved this hotel. We received a great deal of 'bang for the buck' here. It comes with a very nice complimentary continental breakfast, free parking, and complimentary internet. The room was large and clean, with hard floors (much more hygienic), large dresser drawers, and a nice-sized bathroom. My only complaint were that the pillows (while numerous) were hard as rocks. I slept sans pillow. The staff was very friendly and very professional. I would happily return to this Days Inn.

Nice hotelPosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: The staff. Someone had turned on the radio on high in the middle of the night; the staff came in 5 minutes after I called and turned it down.
The hotel is a bit far from the UC campus but, if you don't bring your car, the A-Line bus takes you in its vicinity for just one dollar.

Clean and comfortablePosted Nov 9, 2013
Pros: This hotel is close to UC Davis. It was nice enough for the price range. The crisp clean sheets are the most important to me. Friendly desk staff.
Cons: The movies-on-demand were not available. i was tired and would have like to watch a movie in the room.
Location: UC Davis was only about 10 minutes away by car. it was great for visiting kids at college!
The hotel is very basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff was warm, friendly and attentive to questions.

Older hotel, okay wouldn't recommend.Posted Oct 24, 2013
Older hotel, but that wasn't the problem. Did not like the fact that there was no carpeting, they have wood floors, just did not work for me. Requested a non smoking room, but the room had a stench of smoke. Shower was a very old.

Don't stay here!Posted Oct 14, 2013
Cons: Cleanliness, noise
Location: UC Davis Arboretum, downtown Davis
I stayed here last weekend for a conference at UC Davis and it was horrible. We arrived really late, after 2am, and were assigned room 320. It just felt dirty and rundown, but we tried to disregard it and just get to sleep. Unfortunately, we were hearing a neighboring room of 2 people talking and watching tv. We could hear EVERYTHING. We could hear it from 2 opposite walls, and it turned out to be the room below us. How weird is that? After we figured out who it was, the front desk called them and it finally quieted down. The room was disgusting. I wish I had taken pictures to share. The headboard was missing behind the bed and the wall or pillows smelled like cigarette smoke despite it being a nonsmoking room. Also, they don't provide a bath mat to put on the floor. My sister almost slipped getting out of the shower to grab a towel. Total safety hazard. Considering the conditions, I definitely overpaid. Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else.

Well priced hotel near our daughter in DavisPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: Hardwood floors, nice bedding and shutters (instead of curtains) gave the room a nice fresh, clean feel. Nice pool area and new outdoor furniture.
Cons: The facility overall is being upgraded, which is good because it is showing some wear in overall maintenance, esp. the exterior & grounds.
Location: Davis is a great college town - a nice walkable downtown and good restaurants. People are friendly and there are many outdoor activities nearby.
We planned to drive to Davis from the LA area to surprise our daughter for her birthday and did not want to spend extra money on our hotel. Days Inn was close to her house and perfect for our needs! It is very clean and well appointed for a "budget" hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient; and we even had breakfast included with our stay. We will definitely stay there again - the price, location, and value are just what we were looking for!
