Comfy Place-close to downtownPosted Aug 6, 2013
Cons: The smell in the office was terrible, it smelled like vomit, though the office looked very clean.
Location: The Inn was reasonably priced and close to Old Sacramento.
My kids and I enjoyed our room. The colors and design were very appealing. We enjoyed the nice clean and deep swimming pool too.

Walking distance to old Sacramento.Posted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: It was close to old Sacramento, however so is Best Western and several other motels.
Cons: A new manager would be a good start.
Location: Old Sacramento and a downtown shopping plaza.
We stayed at this hotel because it was a hotel in it's price range with a pool. The pool was filthy. It was full of debris. When I asked the manager why the pool was so dirty, he replied, "it is dirty?" So the manager obviously doesn't inspect the facility. The manager them blamed the debris on some construction workers, however it would have been easy for the manager to insist that the workers cover the pool with a tarp, or notate that the pool is out of order. The continental breakfast consisted of watered-down orange juice, apple juice that WAS water, almost rotten oranges, one bagel and a few muffins. I will never again stay at a Day's Inn...Best Western or Holiday Inn Express only!!

Comfortable StayPosted Jul 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was clean, but in the first room the AC didn't work. The front desk initially said we were trying to keep the room too cool, but eventually sent a maintenance person around. He confirmed that the outlet was sparking and tripping the GFI so they moved us to another less desirable room. The room we got was next to the ice machine and laundry but it worked out for us since we had a bunch of laundry to do. Breakfast was just OK. The price was right and unlike Holiday Inn they didn't charge me multiple times.

The $80 should have been $35Posted Jul 9, 2013
Pros: The breakfast was much better than I thought it woul be cinsiderin our room.
Cons: The room conditions.
My son had shoes and socks on prior to coming in our room an within a half hour his feet were black. Sometimes vacuuming an old carpet isn't enough. Our air conditioning kept turning off as well. Overall I felt like I could have stayed in a $30 room for and had the exact same comfort level.

Great location but mildy disappointing overall...Posted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was a great location but like another guest said... I will take my chances on the La Quinta next time. The front desk clerk was completely rude when we expressed our concern over the pool that was flithy. Also, the pool is tiny withouth any room to lounge and under construction without any plastic for all of the debris. The hotel has obviously addressed the concerns about the smoking smells. Our room looked and smelled fresh and clean. Breakfast was pretty disappointing. My specific recommendations would be peanut butter for toast and waffles for protein. Bananas and/or instead of the oranges. Make sure that everything is well stocked. Again, the front desk clerk wasn't overly friendly (we ended up showing someone how to use the waffle maker). Overall, I guess the biggest issues were the front desk clerk being rude and the pool issues.

Average Hotel ..Not worth for the 100+$ you pay.Posted Jul 1, 2013
Cons: Everything !
Average hotel - Not worth the 100$ you pay. Breakfast was almost over by 8 and they never bothered to refill anything. Room was crampy and no elevator service. I found it difficult to carry all stuff with my toddler and aged parents. Staff was not friendly.
