Delta king

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Northing
Cons: Management and cleanliness
Location: Nice area
It took 1 hr to check in do to an event that was on in the area. No one told us about this and they had email and phone number, they just hope you are psychic. After checking in we was taken to our room and it was filthy all the bedding was stained and the carpet to. the shower was hanging off the wall, management was not interested in our complate so we would not revisit again. Very upset birthday present ruined.

Charming Place to stay

Pros: character
Cons: the workmanship in the details of the remodel.
Location: Near nice shops and restaurants
It was a very charming place to stay, lots of character and close to shops and activity all within walkin distance. We had a very nice experience.

A Great Hotel for a Wedding Night

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Comfortable beds, nice view of old sac, free breakfast
Clean comfortable rooms, not the biggest but spacious enough for two people. We received breakfast vouchers for the next morning and got to eat for free at their upstairs lounge - eggs, potatoes, sausage, and unlimited orange juice and coffee.

Fun, historical way to see Sacramento

Posted Sep 1, 2014
The Delta King was a very fun experience. The location is great and the whole setting is very quaint. I would definitely recommend you stay there once, just for the novelty of it and the location, etc. But there were some unavoidable issues with the room that would keep me from staying there again. The room was teeny-tiny (of course) so it was impossible to unpack anything. We stowed our bags in the shower overnight. The room was stuffy and warm without the A/C (August in Sacramento!) but the A/C was so powerful for the room size that we had to put on sweaters or get under the covers in bed - that was on the lowest possible setting. But overall a very nice stay.

Love the Delta King

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: I love the old time atmosphere of the paddle wheel boat! We love the location. We valet park and don't have to worry about our car..
Location: Walk around old Sacramento, take a train ride, enjoy the Sacramento River and be sure to visit Swabbie's.. One of our favorite places in Sacramento..
We love the Delta King.. Beautiful and quaint! Right on the Sacramento River, beautiful view.. We love to sit out and watch the boats go by and we love the location... We walk around the Old Sac downtown area and shops.. So much fun.. The rooms are not big, but they are always adequate for us!!

Neet Place

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: everything
Cons: the web page
Location: Old Town holds everything could ask for in shopping and food of any kind.
Overall very nice place to stay and will stay there again as I have in the past. I do think they need to redo the way they advertise as the pricing is for only one person and there are not many people that will stay on such a boat by themselves. It is more for the romance and beauty of old ways that bring most people to stay on such an old boat like that. Also they need to update the web page too let all that inquire about the mystery dinner they have on Friday's and Saturday's. That is so much fun and the dinner is well worth the extra money.

What you would expect on a boat - cramped spaces, limited privacy and thin walls. Staff proved to be extremely helpful. In terms of valet - you are better off parking your car your self.
