“Another Great Visit”
I've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past four years. They really have their act together and always make me feel very welcome. In fact, I was so impressed with the person who checked me in that I wrote a note to the manager. My room was well maintained and although not luxurious it was very comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet where items were hot and fresh where expected although I would have like a better selection of fresh fruit. Service was good. Looking forward to my next stay.
“Good but not great”
The Cal Expo Doubletree is a nice place. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and they provide a really nice, big, flat panel tv. They also provide a really nice breakfast buffet at a high but not unreasonable price. On the negative side, they charge a daily fee for parking, which is kind of inexcusable given that there is no shortage of parking in this area. Also there was no wireless internet, or at least none that reached my room. They do have a wired connection however, so if you want to use your laptop from the desk you can do that. They do charge $10/night for the privilege however. Also, for a room of this price, I was expecting a microwave and fridge, neither of which were provided.
“Suitable for family of 4 one night stay”
Almost everything was in working order and as expected. The only glitch was the coffee/tea maker didn't work. I made a phone call and a brand new one was brought in 30 minutes. I don't understand why they charge an extra money for self parking and why they don't have free wi-fi, therefore a 4 star rating.
“A nice stay!”
Was there on Thanksgiving day and the Hotel was nearly empty but I found the Hotel to clean and nice. The front staff was nice enough to have an early check in.
“Enjoyed my stay”
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Nothing major to complain about.
“Barely Satified w/Service”
Service personell nice. But were not stated clear on Expedia nor at front desk. We would of stayed elsewhere for the money due to lack of amenties available. The restaurant took over 45 minutes to receive our meal and we were the only four people in the entire restaurant for dinner.
“Excellent for Saramento”
I bid on this hotel and got a great price for our two day stay. Great location, I didn't have to drive anywhere, could walk to the movies, shopping and out for a good meal.
“I will always stay at the DoubleTree when I'm in town as long as the rate stays the same.”
The room was very nice, extremely comfortable. Room service arrived hot and very tasty, a superb steak dinner. I'm glad I booked thru Expedia 40% discount rates. Worth taking the risk on what hotel you get after you pay. Good choice.
“Good timed!”
I had a good stay. I invited my friends from highschool and collage to come and have wine and appitizers in my room. We sat on the balcony and remenised about the good old days!!!
“Good value for the price.”
Got an unpublished rate which was really good. Hotel has good amenities and is close to the mall. Good workout facility. Friendly staff and a bar to watch Monday Night football. Only thing is the rooms are getting a little run down. Missing bordering on walls cabinets broken etc. Flat screens in the room though.
