Property is remodeled and staff was great because area is not the safest I appreciated them putting me in a safer room on a higher level many areas in California are sketch due to homeless now days Decent price for what you get New TVs new bathrooms etc

My stay it's self was fine . . . However just Just yesterday after checkout they didn't release my deposit back to me. I left returned home then returned two hours later inquiring why exactly I haven't received my deposit back. They gave me a print out telling me "it's been released" I called my bank and not only did they not release it they charged me twice. So now my card is sitting at negative 50 dollars. Besides them double charging my card for the deposit the overall stay was good.

The guy that checked me in was great! Next morning I had to walk to the office to ask for a late check out and the female who was at the counter was like It was notherson that I was asking. I had to walk to the office to ask because there is no phone in the room and I couldn't get through to the office anyway with cell

If u just need a bed to sleep in... this is for u! Hotel was trashy... nothing worked! And for the 1st time ever.. they didnt have an iron lol which i needed.. no fridge no microwave..shower only had cold water. I would not stay again

My stay at Roy's
The staff were very professional, the hotel is being updated new restrooms, new bedding, just overall a new environment. Security on the property is diligent and handy, Parkings a bit tight, and walls are thin you can gear the neighbors a lot. Plus the freeway traffic, a majotr plus is having ihop in the same parking lots.

Very basic facility
The hotel location is around 10 minutes from center downtown, it is little noisy and scary with some loud customers. My room was clean and just remodeled so everything is nice and clean. I stayed only for one night so I don't feel much inconvenient but for someone who wants to book for longer trip then this hotel has a very limited amenities. They only provide 2 small bar of soap and 2 small pouches of shampoo. The shampoo bag is so little that only good for men with short hair or bald. Ladies with long hair or lots of hair please bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner . No trash bin in restroom. No kettle, no coffee maker, microwave or fridge. They give 2 plastic cups and one thin plastic bag for holding any trash that you have. My room has a desk and tivi but no chair. There are two 2 nightstands but no lamps. I stay on ground floor so don't know they have elevators or not for upper rooms. No ice machine, no breakfast provided. For the cheapest price and quick stay, you can consider this hotel, otherwise, be prepare to bring lots of things to make your stay more convenient.

A poor choice in Sacramento
The room was clean, but furniture, walls, tile were chipped. There was a desk chair, but no comfortable chair to relax in. The television was difficult to use (remote only controlled channels, not the television itself). Other residents were noisy and I was awakened at 2:00AM by a man pacing back and forth in front of my room, talking loudly on his cell phone. I'll never stay there again.

The most bland room I've ever stayed in. No phones in the rooms, so you have to walk to the front desk if you have any issues. The rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. Just very...."meh".

Room was dirty, TV was still on when we walked in so not even sure if it was cleaned. Shoe prints on the bed. Sticky bed frame. Dirty floors including restrooms. Dirty toilet and sink. But you get what you paid for.

The pictures on the booking site are not anything close to the real thing. The room I got had nothing but a bed, a dresser, and a tv. There was no chair there was no alarm clock there was no night stand there was nothing to hang towels on. The elevator was broken and my room was on the 3rd floor. The stairs were dirty and didn’t seem that safe with really low lighting. No vending machines. Staff wasn’t the friendliest. The property is under construction but it doesn’t say that anywhere on the site. I do not recommend.

We checked in and were told we were given one of the newly refurbished rooms. The doors were obviously not refurbished and were held together with painters tape. There was no phone or lamps so overhead lights had to be utilized e entire time. There was a smell.No tables, no chairs.
