Great stay in Sacramento, CA

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: The breakfast choices were disappointing. Breakfast rolls were served refrigerator cold and there was no microwave to warm them. Bitter coffee.
Location: Don't know. Just stayed overnight while passing through.
Close to freeway exit and on ramp, easy access to a Denny's Restaurant across the street. Staff very friendly. Hotel and grounds very well kept. Air conditioner/heater in room worked as set, was quiet and stayed on all night, making the room temperature just right.

Good hotel for business travelers.

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Location, close to the freeway, and availability of local restaurants.
OK hotel. OK for short stays for business travelers very close to downtown and Old Sacramento area. Complimentary breakfast was lacking the typical items. Several eateries close by. Unfortunately a quite of few homeless types in the area but overall area seemed safe.

Fine hotel -- unless you have an early flight.

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: The hotel itself was nice and the room was clean. Except for the shuttle issue the price was reasonable.
Cons: Start the shuttle early enough that someone with an early flight can use it.
Location: Pretty dicey location. No good food nearby.
I booked this hotel specifically because it was billed as an airport hotel (it is several miles away) and because it said it had an airport shuttle -- which technically it did. They were nice about picking us up at the rental car drop off when we came in early in the evening. The problem came because our flight left at 6:20 and the shuttle service didn't begin until 6 -- which makes it worthless for anyone with an early flight. The cab to the airport for the two of us, plus tip, was close to $40.00. Any savings from booking through this sight was blown. Also, the hotel does not have a restaurant. The only food nearby are a McDonalds and a Denny's. I'm vegetarian so neither are acceptable for a decent meal. The neighborhood is a little dicey so it didn't feel safe to go any where after dark.

Took a chance on this one and it was worth it

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Staff was quick to respond to problems.
Cons: Fans in the bathroom
Location: Hotel is right next to a McDonalds and freeway, so it would be noisy if your room faces the drive thru and freeway
Our stay started off a little rocky. Out TV remote wasn't working so we called the front desk. Someone brought a new one within minutes, which was great. However, when we opened the door, the door handle fell completely off! They switched our room immediately. The first room was a bit noisy from freeway noise, even though we requested a quiet room. The second room was on the opposite side of the hotel (back of hotel away from McDonalds) and had no noise. The decor was nice. The room was about what we would expect from a Holiday Inn express or Best Western Plus, but half the price. There were no fans in the bathroom, which I don't like. But for an overnight stay it worked well. Standard breakfast options of bagels, Danish, yogurt, cereal.

Hotel surrounded with many transients. Not a place good to bring kids.

EZ access to I-5

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Parking was easy. Nice staff. Great breakfast. EZ off and on I-5.
Cons: Internet never connected and the reading light didn't work.
Welcomed by origami-folded towels and tissues ... very impressive! The staff recommended going to Jack's Urban Eats for a large Chinese salad (others had excellent meals too). Quick stay, but nice. Great breakfast & we were on our way!

Nice, roomy accomodations

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Everything was great-- the hotel seemed newer and clean though we were just passing through so I didn't pay attention to details. The complimentary breakfast was average as far as free breakfasts go but it got our family fed before we hit the road again. All in all, I was very pleased with our stay.

The staff need to be more friendly. And smile!

Posted Jul 31, 2014
The staff that helped my party of 4 didn't even smile. We felt uncomfortwble. However the neatness of the room made us feel better. Very clean. It would HAVE BEEN GREAT IF THERE WAS A MICROWAVE!
