“Convenient to UC Davis”

Hotel is in downtown Davis, right next to the train station. You can hear the train and its whistle most of the day, but with double paned windows it isn't too obtrusive. We actually found it romantic!! Many different types of restaurants are within a few blocks of the hotel. The Mondavi Center at UC Davis is a 20 minute walk. Easy in and out for parking and getting around Davis, and the hotel has bikes you can borrow.

“Excellent on everything!”

My stay at the Hallmark Inn Davis was absolutely excellent. The staff were so very nice. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable! It was quiet and safe and cozy. They had bicycles available, a lovely pool, perfect location in Davis. All in all, it was the nicest place I've ever stayed in Davis and I have been going there for almost six years now. I would highly recommend this establishment. Again, the staff, every single person, were so very kind.

“Davis' Hallmark Inn”

Great service, clean hotel, and hotel is within walking distance of any downtown Davis location. We would definitely stay there again. 2 kids ages 7 and 5. Breakfast is complete -- not just cereal and bagels. Pool was fun for kids.

“Extra service”

I forgot something in the room, and the hotel even called me and arranged to return it to me. I think this is one of the best hotels to stay at when visiting Davis, especially if you visit the UC there.

Nice hotel in wlking distnce to everything. Nice happy hour get you in the mood for walking to dinner. Not really big rooms, but very comfortable.

The room was very comfortable, very clean. Will use this hotel again, on return trip to Davis.

“UCDavis visit”

It's nice that it is in the old part of town, only problem is that our room was 200 yards from the train station/tracks. Engineer liked to blow his horn at 2am. :-)

“Better Temperature Control”

The hotel room and the lobby were a little smaller than I would have liked, but overall the hotel was comfortable. The one issue I had was that it was pretty difficult to get the room warmed up...I can't say that I ever was able to get it to a comfortable heat level unless I was in bed. I stayed for two nights on a business trip, but if I had been there with my wife I would have had some major issues since she tends to get cold a lot easier than I do.

“Okay with reservations”

The room was okay and clean. Parking was difficult since the lot is shared by a restaurant. There is underground parking but we were hesitant to use it at night. The breakfast was quite elaborate but the room was too small for the number of guests staying in the hotel so we had to go back to our room to eat. The reception desk wasn't always staffed or was understaffed so we had to keep returning in order to speak to someone. Handy location for exploring downtown Davis and the university. Probably wouldn't stay again because of the parking.
