ok I guessPosted Nov 29, 2013
two trips to the office to get re-keyed before we could check in. the magnetic keys weren't working in the locks properly. The location is a good, price is right but there is a lot of transient traffic. That wasn't a problem this time, they have a security guard on premises. The place is kind of run down, but not too too bad. It is right in the middle of Sacramento's largest retail center and there are cinemas and dining within walking distance.

Like Dingy Motel from Crime NovelPosted Oct 27, 2013
Cons: Everything Else
Location: There is a mall near by called Arden Mall as well as other stores. There is an Apple-bee in the front and a movie theater adjacent to the facility.
Aside from the Staff who seem friendly enough, this motel was one of the worst out of all hotels, motels, and inn that I have stayed in my life. Upon exiting out of the car, I smelled sewage and rotting garbage like odor as I entered the motel facility. It was not very pleasant. There was several sketchy people hanging around the motel hall ways and stair ways. The facility seems to lack any security personnel or camera to prevent crime or delinquent behavior. Inside the room, the rotting smelled presence was lessened but still lingered. Room looked clean at first but upon careful inspection, I noticed that the vinyl flooring was not cleaned with a mop. There were crumbs of food spread about here and there. Cheap double bed was very springy, The blanket was full of burnt holes from cigarette, pillow was completely flat, and furniture were old and stained. Only saving grace was that the TV had decent amount of channels. Worst part was that we found a cockroach running around the wall during the middle of the night. I smashed it with a rolled up news paper and I didn't find another one for the rest of the night but I could not sleep comfortably after that knowing that there are cockroach running around me. Thin walls didn't help neither. It was Friday night so there was people moving around talking loudly and even singing throughout the entire night and I could hear all of it.

The TubPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
The tub had someone's hair in it, and it had a cricket in it as well... Had to rince out the tub and put the cricket in toilet before I could shower... I was hoping to take a bath after my long drive from Susanville to Sacramento...

Very nice except for one thing...Posted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff and housekeeping were very nice. The only problem I had was that the internet was down....and continued to stay that way for 4 days. I was led to believe it would be fixed "this afternoon" or "this evening" or "tomorrow;" That maintenance was coming," that "Comcast was coming," etc. I dont know what actually happened - I just know I never was able to access the internet, and therefore my cell phone :(

not as promisedPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
My main problem was that the internet was down 3.5 days out of the 6. The end tables large deep black stains. I asked for help bringing luggage downstairs and was told no one was available. On my way out I saw a security guard sitting in an office with an open door.

Ok hotel in very sketchy area!Posted Jul 13, 2013
The shady groups of people camping in the parking lot - and some apparently staying at the hotel were a little disturbing. The stench in the room convinced to move on. We were sufficiently disgusted to forfeit our prepaid night and book a different hotel!

Surprised!Posted Jul 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
I never stay at Motel 6 when I'm traveling for business -- or at least I haven't up until now. After this experience, I'll stay again. I got exactly what I was looking for a clean, comfortable room, safe neighborhood with food nearby, good wifi in the room. This one is going on my keepers list!
