“Better options nearby”

This was not the best or the worst place I've stayed. They do accept pets, and it's conveniently located near the freeway, which is why I booked a room here for one night. The hotel is in decent shape, but our room looked like it hasn't been updated much in the last 15 years. For the price, it was ok, but I would pay a little more to stay at one of the newer, nicer hotels nearby.

“A great family hotel at a great price.”

We really enjoyed the heated pool and spa. The complimentary hot breakfast was better than most, and the staff were very helpful. The room was well maintained and clean. A very good value for the money.

“Nice stay”

We were going to a concert at the Sleep Train Ampetheatre. We wanted to find a close place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the closeness to the freeway, places to eat, and the Roseville mall. The hotel appeared to have a great pool and hot tub although we didn't use it. The room was comfortable and clean. We would go back again.

“Not Staying There Again”

This hotel is due for an upgrade. The rooms are outdated. The suites should not be considered suites, as they are about the size of a standard room. They just shoved more things into it. It also said that the suite had a pullout sofa sleeper and it did not. All-in-all, I think the theme of my stay here is "disappointing!"

“Another Fine Time”

Enjoyed Orchid Suites. Lourdes in the morning breakfast area is always friendly and very helpful. The entire staff was quite helpful. In the past they have been less concerned than this time about breakfast accounting, obviously trying to tighten up procedures. We really enjoyed having an actual suite. Thank you, Orchid Suites!

“Very Impressed”

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room included 2 free happy hour drinks at their lounge which was a nice bonus. The room also included 2 complimentary passes to their hot breakfast buffett which was good, but could have been executed a little better.

Area recommendations

The Placer County wineries were excellent and not very far away. Also Johnny Garlic's was an excellent place for dinner.

“Used bandaid in closet.”

I got there in the evening to find we did not have our family suite. We didn't get our room cleaned while we were there. We didn't get new towels causing room to smell. The beds were lumpy and old. Pillows were falling apart. The pull out couch had a bar that ran across the bed that you could feel in the middle of your back. The room was very small especially for 6 people. The topper was when we found the dirty bandaid in the closet! The bar was fine. The pool and hot tub was good. After the second day we went and found a new motel.

Area recommendations

Arden Fair area. A central area of Sacramento with access to freeways and area attractions and shopping.

“Accommodating staff during busy soccer tournament weekend”

I stayed here during the busiest time...soccer tournament going on and didn't realize it when I booked my stay. I only stayed here because I promised to take my son to visit his friends and let him spend the night at their house. While I was hoping for a nice quiet evening at the hotel, it was everything but that. Kids running up and down the hallways and drunk parents out by the pool, which was just below my room. I wanted to go use the internet in the private room, but a man was on it til all hours of the night. I asked for a late check out so I could get some sleep AFTER 8 A.M. when the noise disappeared. The staff was very accommodating and allowed me an extra hour and a half, plus allowed me into the room to the computer for internet access even after I checked out. I'm sure this is normally a quiet hotel, but not with unruly kids and irresponsible parents. The pool and jacuzzi are nice and there is also a separate park like setting with a deck and tables to sit at in the shade. I noticed they have their own lounge and what looked to be a small laundry room for guests. I will choose this hotel again when I take my son back to visit his friends, and hope for a more peaceful visit next time.

Area recommendations

take a visit to the Galleria mall...lots of high end stores and a carousel for the little ones to enjoy. Plenty of places to eat and Carrows just within walking distance for families....reasonable prices and delicious food!
