Nice remodeled room

Posted Apr 15, 2014
We had a nice king room recently remodeled that was on par with any 4 star hotel. The location is great for walking to Music Theater and Convention Center. The exterior is not very attractive. The small lobby serves a daily breakfast that would be ok if they would bother to replenish the food items when they run low or out. The desk clerk sat there watching people come in for breakfast and finding all the food gone, but never called a maid to bring more food out.

Good downtown location

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Room has fridge & microwave. Lobby has good breakfast.
Location: Near downtown & good sushi
We can always count on this hotel to be just what it states and the location near downtown is very convenient. Great sushi right across the street too!

Frances rocks and so does the location

We arrived for Check-In and were greeted by Frances. She was warm, efficient and accomodating. The location is excellent for a Downtown experience.

Clean, comfortable, though a bit dated outside

Posted Apr 10, 2014
I liked the hotel. The staff was very courteous and professional and the room was nice and well appointed. It's convenient to many downtown businesses and state government offices. The only distraction is that the outside is a bit outdated and in need of renovation. It's on a very small lot.

Great location!

Pros: Both front desk staff members we dealt with were extremely nice and helpful.
Right across the street from the Memorial Auditorium, which is where we had performance tickets to. Within one block to very good restaurants, coffee shops and lounges. The inn's breakfast area was clean, and the breakfast was good for a quick bite before hitting the road. Secured building, via locked gates to rooms, was a plus. Free parking, but it was tight for a large vehicle. The only drawback was that the street noise was loud.

Excellent price/ quality

Posted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: Convenience, location, price, cleansiness
Cons: If the trash cans for breakfast area can be divided to compost and recycle, that would be great. It's also nice if paper plates are used rather than s
Location: Downtown

Great inexpensive location.

I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The staff was pretty nice and accommodating. This is definitely not a posh hotel, but the inside is very clean, spacious and has more than you would need. There was a pool (didn't use it), continental hot breakfast and free parking for amenities. Inside the room there was refrigerator, freezer, very nice shower, sink outside the rest, nice sized flat tv, hair dryer and large king size bed. What's even better is the price! I paid $69.99 per night sans the tax and fees. I got neither of those. Instead I had some nasty sausage, an orange and some cheap waffles via a waffle makers. They should definitely fix that. All in all I would say for the price it was a great location, better than average room, great price and has more amenities that one needs. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in town for an interview like I was it surpassed my expectations.

Decent place to stay.

I'm afraid of heights so the walkway was thrilling. But otherwise, larger than normal fridge and microwave. Tub, etc. was basic no frills. But it suited my overnight stay just fine.

Rather disappointing

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the linens clean.
Cons: The atmosphere, the outside of the hotel.
Location: Near the capital and convention center.
I didn't arrive until rather late at night and found the area immediately around the hotel and the exterior to be rather dilapidated and seedy. The staff were rather surly. But once in the room, it was clean and comfortable although small and a bit dated. It was ok for one night but I wouldn't ever stay there again. The morning staff was much more friendly
