Not the first place I'd choose

Pros: The room.
Cons: Information about blocking $100 on customer's cc for an extended period needs to be disclosed at the time of booking. Breakfast-horrible.
Front desk: the clerk told me that they'd block $100. on my cc and that the block may stay on for up to 5 days. I informed'im that this condition needed to be disclosed at the time of booking for it to be binding. Breakfast: just don't go!. We got there about 7:45 AM. Missing were: plates, cereal bowls and all warm food. Quite a few more people were still arriving after us. The attending employee seemed incapable (as in "disabled") and/or uninterested in providing the missing items. About 15 minutes later she produced some more plates. Some people inquired about more food but she seemed non- committal. We ate some yogurt...had to look hard for couple of spoons.

A once nice hotel?

Pros: The young man that checked me out was extremely pleasant and they did not charge me for the early check in, that was nice.
Cons: The whole place needs to be renovated.
Location: Nothing really near this location except for fast food and the college.
This place looked like it was once a nice hotel but it is severely run down and looks as if it's on the verge of closing. Maybe it's a bad location. Luckily I was only staying in the room for 5 hours during some downtime in between two of my finals at Sierra College. Everything looks dirty and stained, there was no one at the front desk when I got there and the cleaning lady (I think she was the only one too) had to go find someone to check me in. There was a woman in the lobby that suggested I go stay at another hotel and told me she was not happy with her previous night (I'll spare the details) in the hotel and said no one was ever at the front desk as she had called multiple times for basic hotel room amenities. When I did finally check in, I wanted to wash my hands and face and discovered there wasn't any soap in the bathroom. The room was definitely run down, old TV, carpet stains all over, bed spread old and worn out, I was honestly afraid to put my bag on anything. Needless to say, this place was not worth the $96 when I could have gotten the same for half the cost if I went to a HoJo or a Quality Inn.

Below expectations

Facility was overgrown and look run xown. Inside was in need of paint and serious cleaning, the room was in good condition. Balcony was over grown with trees that made it mostly un usable. The pool was very dirty, hot tub was filthy and cold. Outside pool furniture was rusty and had plants entangled growing on them. If I had not used my Expedia points to partial pay , I would have not stayed..very disappointed. I have photos of this mess.

STAY AWAY........

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything from exterior to interior.......Most of all the staff
Hotel associates were rude at best.....they were all inattentive to our needs (which were basic). Seemed like desk associate and other associate were much more worried to get a "smoke break" than answer any questions. Which by the way, their smoke break was taken to the immediate right of the Hotel's main entrance. Horrible experience and terrible associates

Where was everyone?

We arrived and could not find anyone to check us in. In fact, could not even find another hotel guest! Hotel was completely empty!! Finally found one person, who was working the entire hotel! We had been driving for 7 hours and said that our kids wanted to go in the pool. He said the pool was not clean yet, but if the kids didn't mind a bit of leaves, etc they could swim for awhile and he would clean the pool later. He also said NOT to go in the spa though, as it needed chemicals and would not be ready until much later. This was disappointing for all of us as we were all looking forward to this after our drive. The next morning, again we only found one person working breakfast as well as the front desk. Thus, it was difficult to keep up on breakfast items and food kept running out. Towels were also in short supply. However, beds and pillows were very comfortable and room was clean/nice. The hotel has potential, but if they don't start putting some time/money into it (as well as staffing more people), it looks as if it could fall in to disrepair.

Hotel close to shopping centers

Pros: Clean rooms.
Cons: Nothing, I can think of.
We have stayed there quite a few times over the years. It is close to the shopping centers; quiet, easy access in and out and close to I-80 to go anywhere you want. Rooms are comfortable. Would recommend it to anyone.

Was good. The hotel staff very helpful. Breakfast was great. Went to my Granddaughter's softball tournament very close by. I was by myself but felt very safe at the Hotel.

Pros: The air-conditioning was quiet and kept the room cool
Cons: Clean up the grounds and weeds, clean the hallway and main areas, fix the shower sprayer, provide working irons for cloths, provide more staff
Location: Decent location with some fast food restaurants and gas stations
This hotel was highly rated on Expedia, but when we got there the grounds were not cared for, the hotel corridors were very warm and the carpets were not very clean. We stayed for two nights and were glad to leave.

Used to have a great restaurant and grounds were pristine. It is now dated, showing its age. The grounds are not attractive and need attention. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet and is close to plenty of food and shopping.

Pros: The price was reasonable, and the location was fairly quiet.
Cons: The general condition of the hotel grounds needs some care. "Curb Appeal" is a bit lacking, and the pool area was showing some age and lack of care.
The hotel has potential - it is obvious that there was once a lot of pride in this hotel, and the associated event center. However, the grounds are now not well manicured, the pool is in need of an overhaul, and there is an apparent lack of staffing. The staff seemed pleasant for the most part, but there is obviously too much hotel for a sole person to manage and maintain. The room was clean, albeit a little dated. Regardless, my family and I had an enjoyable weekend. We certainly didn't let the quirks of this hotel keep us from having a good time.
