“Nice Place To Stay”

After having one bad experience with this hotel we decided to give it another try as it is very convenient to where we wanted to go. We were impressed with the service this time...the room was nice and clean and kept that way by the staff. The bed was very comfy and the pillows nice and fluffy. We will most likely head back again to this one when we are in the area....thanks for everything!

“DO NOT STAY THERE”

Right off the freeway. Noise level was to be expected. NOT A SAFE AREA. Motel has seen better days. Everything was old, old and older. Shower was a joke, with cracked tiles and water that leaked. The front desk people are very nice, but office smelled of garlic and other cooking grease. For the $$$ this place is a joke. They should pay U to stay there. No place in surrounding area to even get something to eat after 7:00pm. My husband said he felt unsafe there.

Area recommendations
Some place more to the well populated center - exits either prior to this 1. Basically the ghetto area of Sacramento. Motel looks cute in ad, but it's not a good area after dark, even if the police station is 4 blocks away.

“Nice Hotel, but a bit noisy”

Hotel was very easy to find. Staff was friendly. Neighborhood was a bit scary, but we didn't have any problems. (It was better in daylight) Room was very spacious and much more than I expected for the price. Hotel is close to Int 5 so traffic can be noisy. Left the fan on all night. It drowned out most of the noise. Caught the tail end of continental breakfast but it seemed average. Relaxing that it was in it's own room rather than attached to the lobby. Very close to Old Sacramento and the Railroad museum. Within 5 min.

Traveler's tip
Ordered pizza from Giants Pizza. Delivery was fast and pizza was excellent!! Several menus and food guides in the lobby.

“Was Better Than We Expected”

After hiking all day with 12 boyscouts, the room was comfortable and clean, hot tub was a BIG plus, and continental breakfast was adequate (cereal, milk, coffee, juice, pastries and english muffins). Good restaurant across from the McDonalds next door. Downside---near industrial area, and there was a homeless camp on the other side of the wall around the parking lot! HOWEVER, there is also a police station right next door to the homeless camp. We had no problems, just a little nervous, and the news talked about how the town was going to be moving the camp. Employees said that they had never had a problem with the homeless folk in 15 years. MUST ADMIT that after hiking 5 miles a day with a bunch of teenage boyscouts, the hotel was like a home away from home when we retired for the night!

Traveler's tip
We were only minutes away from the most fantastic Train Museum, old town (1800's) Sacramento, malls, Hard Rock Cafe, Fort Sutter, Indian Museum..
