A step back to the good ole days of mansions.Posted Jul 27, 2013
Pros: Most different than your average hotel room.
Location: Walking distance to the capitol and a good walk to Old Sacramento.
The hotel felt comfy and it was a mansion restored to it's glorious days.

Beautiful historic hotel with nice accommodationsPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Historic character
Cons: Mattress was pretty uncomfortable
Location: Well located for downtown business travelers
Good experience at the hotel even though the hotel staff was a bit too chatty for my taste. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was oversized and very pretty. Parking was a bit of an issue since there are meters on the street adjacent to the hotel and no onsite parking, but the garage we were sent to was only a block away. We'd definitely go back to this place.

Not good.Posted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: The lady at the front desk.
Cons: Oh man. The price, first and foremost. The parking. The breakfast. The TV's.
Location: Downtown sacramento. You can go for a bike ride.
Way overpriced. My wife and I stayed there for a stop on our honeymoon. It was pretty tacky. You couldn't adjust the thermostat! It was over 90 degrees when we were there and the thermostats were locked so you couldn't change them! The room we received was a long skinny room, which was fine. BUT with the bed being on one end and the small TV on the other, we could not see it very well. There was breakfast included, but it was very poor. Some cereal, old fruit, toast. The kind of stuff you get at days inn. The hotel had no on site parking. You had to pay to park on the street. The only bright side was the nice lady working at the front desk! She was helpful with any info that we needed, I just hope she can find a job somewhere that is more deserving of her.

Old VictorianPosted May 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
I love this Victorian hotel but it is in need of some TLC. The rooms are comfortable in size. Its beautifully decorated but needs some updating. Great location to the Sacramento convention center. Extremely nice employees and although it has a great restaurant downstairs the food is priced for the area. Their continental breakfast has excellent choices. My lower ratings are due to the A/C not working in my room and tlc needed throughout. I will def stay there again.
