Nice Hotel, Great Price

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Clean and new.
Cons: Add a meat selection to breakfast menu.
This hotel was a very nice hotel and the price was great. Rooms were very clean and quite. Breakfast was good but could use a meat (bacon or sausage) selection.

Very nice mid range cost hotel.

Pros: The staff, breakfast and cleanliness.
This hotel was very nice and was affordable. The staff was excellent and attentive. The rooms were well kept and clean. I am planning on staying again for my daughters wedding in the fall. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It has a central Michigan location that allows you to avoid the high cost areas.

This hotel is for the frugal traveler. It was clean and we experienced no hassles. It was lightly occupied in the dead of winter and thus very quiet. The location was good and despite being close to a freeway, there was no road noise.

Good for a random overnight stay in Saginaw

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: The heat!
Location: Shopping and eating. Frankenmuth is only about 20-25 mins away
The room's heat was broken, but other than that, it was a pleasant stay. I mean, you wouldn't stay here on vacation, but the hot breakfast is delicious and the rooms are clean and comfortable (when the heat works). Its a good place to stay for a weekend in Saginaw. Great location - right off the highway and near a ton of shops and restaurants!

Okay stay.

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful.
Cons: New mattresses would be nice. Pet fee of $25 per night collected at Hotel.
Location: Around 15 miles from Frankenmuth and Birch Run. Close enough to get there, but far enough away to get out of the Christmas rush.
The staff at the hotel were very good. Our room was clean. The mattress was dipped in the center. We kept rolling into each other. The shower and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Hot and cold food. The staff did a great job keeping items stocked. Over all we would use this hotel again.

Not a winner

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Driving up to this hotel it was less than encouraging as the condition said to us - recently purchased and under rehab. We couldn't park under the canopy because (they said) it was being repaired. No evidence of that. We were in town because of a funeral and it was recommended by family however some of them stayed across the street at the sheraton. We insisted on seeing the room and while it was ok and appeared to be clean the location afforded a view of a wall, and the smoking pit below. We were told there were no other rooms available, but they must have been hiding the rest of the guests. It was NOT full of people at any time we were there. I don't like being played. We were comfortable, it was quite, and yes relatively clean at a reasonable price. The breakfast was varied, but not really well cooked. Fruit was all bad. The shower had a slow drain, so waders were needed as the shower rod had been hung too high for the curtain to stay in the tub. Obvious fixes had been done and to some quality, but it wasn't being carried thru in the every day care. The windows were steamed from bad seals. and the heater never did come on that we could tell. Converted window unit with a thermostat on one wall. The worst part for me was the spotlight smoke alarm that flooded the room with light. Obviously the typical quality and care given to most Country Inn Suites was missing here. Won't stay again, there are too many other options in the immediate area.
