Nice Place

I was very pleased with my stay here, especially for the price! My room had a nice sized flatscreen tv, mini fridge, microwave, comfortable king sized bed and a sofa. The room was very cleanly, and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

Price is only thing right here!

Pros: Located near many restaurants & shopping establishments. Bronner's 15 minutes away (why we stayed here, Frankenmuth hotels way expensive!)
Cons: Anything & Everything. I don't believe non smoking in rooms is enforced. Hotel looong overdue refurb!
Location: Bavarian Inn, Zhender's (Amazing German "family style" all-u-can-eat lunches/dinners served all the time). You need to check out Bronner's Xmas store!
Right from the get-go, checked in, got key card for our room (#230), drove round back to room, opened door....not too bad (old but ok). Went to turn on lights in room & noticed everything power related was dead (including alarm clock). Went back to front desk. Exchanged room #230 for room #214. Again drove round, opened door...and immediately you get hit with the smell of stale cigarette smoke (the worst). No way we could sleep in this "non-smoking" room! Back again, didn't want to take any chances at any other rooms, so asked when original room #230 may get power restored to it. (Apparently workers in that block of units....you'd think front desk would know this before handing out keys. Anyway she made a call and stated power would be back in an hour or so. We were heading out for lunch anyway, and since this room did not have any smoking odour, we decided to accept this room. Flash forward to the next morning when my daughter & wife had their showers. My wife took a hand towel out of the holder near sink, and upon unrolling it to use it, noticed a big brown stain on inside. My daughter had to place a towel on bathtub floor surface for fear of "catching" something. Mattress was foam type & very hard....pillows lumpy. Bedspread had burn holes right through skirt area. Bathtub had couple of burn marks where someone probably rested a cigarette & then forgot about it. Positive things? Location...plenty restaurants & shopping nearby. Would definitely not stay here again!

Our only issue was the door would not lock. Room was comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a decent priced room.

The staff...she was pleasant, helpfull, informative & accomadative. The bed...surprisingly comfortable. The room overall was dated and could have been cleaner. Many shoppe's & eatery's, also other tourist attractions near by...location easy to find.

weekend away

went for breakfast at 7:30 am and there was not much, no juice only a 1/2 cup milk, dry cereal and a little gravy and biskets. no fruit. besides that the room was clean and person at counter was very nice, lots of parking. good stay for older place.

Very comfortable and clean rooms

I recommend this hotel, especially for the price. True, it looks like a dive from the outside. It's a non-smoking property, but the first room they placed me in had clearly been smoked in..a lot by the smell of it. But they moved me with no problem to a new room. I must say, it was a nice room. The paint and décor was fairly modern and it was clean. The beds are like a memory foam and the pillow are too--the most comfortable pillows I've ever slept on! I know, sounds crazy for a Knights Inn--I was pleasantly surprised as well. I slept like a baby. And it was 18 degrees when I was there and the room was very warm, aka-heater worked well :)

The room was clean but it felt like we were at the " Bates" motel. The security latch on the door was missing completely. The shower had very little hot water. You did not need to put the cold water on at all. The tub bottom actually gave - it felt like you would go through the bottom. ( I am not a big person). There was water damage on the ceiling in the washroom as well. Now I know why this hotel was so much cheaper than the competitors...
