Still a worthwhile stay
my wife has stayed there before while visiting family and always loved this location. Even she could see that it was not quite as clean nor comfortable. I was welcomed by Sheldon (?) when I checked in. Very hospitable, informative and great guy. He offered up a ton of great information. Breakfast was superb. Room was somewhat dated. Washcloth (only 1 provided) was stained (old stain) and general room cleaning (are of walls by the door where most people don't even look) was somewhat lacking. Also, even though a wall thermostat, very hard to keep the room comfortable...even set at 64, very warm.

Our only complaint is you’s being PET FRIENDLY which we loved was the carpeting!! Carpeting isn’t appropriate with pets..

I agree with the carpet and pets! I have one area rug in my house and my cats will find it every time they hack up a fur ball. Lol Thankfully at the hotel, we have an amazing Maintenance person who goes through each room and steam cleans every inch after a pet checks out.

From checking in to seeing to the room easy. friendly and clean. Gave great ideas what to do in the area and was able to fix a problem with the tv. will definitely be back.

We booked a kings sized bed room that was heavily smoked in. The front desk switched us to a full sized bed room which was the only other room available.

The room was like a miniature apartment with having a kitchenette was convenient. It would have been perfect if it had a convection oven instead of microwave.

Room wasn’t very clean. Dirty shower curtain. Kitchen has warped cabinets and significant damage. Carpet was dirty. Dust in all the corners and food under the bed to name a few. Shampoo and soap were empty in the shower as well.

When it comes to hotel stays we are usually have reservations about trying someplace new. The Townplace Suites were everything, and more when it comes to providing a traveler's needs. From the warm welcome from Vickie, the manager, to the young lady, Priscilla, who makes sure breakfast is fully stocked, our stay was the absolute best. The rooms were clean, and we'll appointed, the indoor pool was a nice respite from the winter weather, and the lobby area was a comfortable place for us to visit with our guests whom we were in Saginaw to see. I also would like to give a shout out to all the staff who were always smiling, but especially Marissa and Caleb, who gladly take care of our every request. Thank you, we highly recommend, and will stay here again. FIVE STARS!!

Booked room a month in advance, even called to check room was still available thirty minutes before arriving and was told yes it was. After an hour and ten minutes of waiting for our room we were told it was booked over. Hotel was going to offer us a one bedroom that was dirty, or one room that did not have a working lock on the door. Hotel did not offer any compensation for this trouble or the lost time.
