“Saginaw Michigan/Bob Seger Concert 3/29/11”

Hotel was across street from Dow Event Center. Check in was easy. New owners said they were remodeling. Room was average. Bed was "Like a Rock". Ice and drink machine on 6th floor were out of service. The lounge was great. All drinks, ALL were just 2bucks and they really filled the shot glasses up. Bob Seger played on there sound system the entire time. Room rate was good. They didn't know what Expedia had charged but they finally figured it out. All hotel personel were very nice. Looked like and OK neighborhood. right next to town too. Free parking

“Unsafe area”

The hotel was currently renovating. I got stuck in the elevator twice. The toilet backed up and the maintenance guy got water everywhere after plunging it that I had to clean up. There were cigarette burns on the chair and floor. There were only 2 working channels on the TV. It was a very unsafe neighborhood. When I checked in, the two ladies at the front desk were talking and left me standing there. THEN, when I was checking out, they were having a huge issue with a man who worked at the hotel sneaking into a girls room and getting into bed with her!! I heard the whole thing as the lady at the front desk was explaining it to the manager on the phone. SCARY!! I would never go back.

“Walls like Paper.”

Although the convenience to the Dow Center was outstanding, the hotel was a big disappointment! First we recognized that the furniture was all ancient...including the bed! Then....there were all but 3 channels on the TV...the Wifi kept dropping out....AND the walls were so thin that the next rooms' alarm was set and went off (no one was in the room, so it was a LONG time before it was turned off) and it sounded like it was in our own room! There was NO hot water....so no showers for us after a concert....yuck! I would not recommend this hotel.....The Ramada had a shuttle to the Dow Center....wish we would have taken it!

“Won't go there again”

No one but us was there at this hotel. Only the two young people at the front desk. Never did we ever see anyone else. No cars in the parking lot all night. Took forever to check in and the same with leaving, which it was already done the night before. Swimming pool was padlock closed, the restaruant was not open. They said they had renovations, but no workers were there. The young people at the front desk was courteous. There was no coffee pot in the room, but they did bring us one. Elevators didn't go up to where the ice maker was on third floor. The beds were clean, but just a sheet was across the matress and not really made up. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone. The pictures on the site are not the true picture of the hotel. One reason I booked it was because of the restaurant in the hotel. I have never been to Saginaw and did not know my way around. The information on their website was why I picked this hotel. It was close to where I had to be on the next day and it had a restaurant, but was not open. The room was clean and the bed was okay.

“Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.”

I was hopeful from other reviews that the hotel had improved since the last few years with the new management. However, this was the worst and most uncomfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel appeared to not have been updated in 30 years. All the furniture was uncomfortable and dusty. The cable barely worked. The pool was locked. It took 20 minutes of standing around for someone to come to the front desk to check us in, and seemed surprised that someone would actually stay at their hotel. Another guest left as soon as they saw their room, and they were informed that there are no refunds issued whatsoever. I promise it is worth the extra money to stay somewhere else that you can feel more comfortable and clean in.

“Would never go back”

This hotel was absolutely horrid. The description said breakfast was included, and when we got there, the hotel was under construction. The front desk was not helpful at all. She didn't even direct us where to park, where the elevators were. I had to question everything. What was even more weird, the same person who was there when we checked in (evening) was there the next day (late morning). It was the only person we saw throughout the whole hotel. Bizarre! I'm surpised the hotel is still in business!

“Not ready yet”

The hotel location is great. Under new ownership and should be a great hotel when renovations take place. Check back in about 6 months but I would not stay there right now.
